A family and friends favorite!
Hotel Anna’s was the first restaurant we went to in Germany and it was so special to us we made sure it was our last restaurant we ate at in Germany. The food is fresh and amazing. We went so much probably weekly for over 3 years making about 150+ visits (it’s that good!) that our sweet waitress Sylvia knew our orders by heart. Every single one of our friends and family were lucky enough to have eaten here with us and it was alway a favorite for our guest. My favorite was jagerschnitzel with a glass of reseisling! Don’t forget to try the Schnecken and Schafskäse you won’t regret it!

Cancelled our Stay
Almost ruined our visit, we had booked a stay with our dogs but informed hotel Anna that we will no longer would bring our dogs and will arrive a day later. We had a reply and I quote "Hello Yes possible, have a nice trip". Meanwhile, booking.com informed us the day before our arrival that we were a "no show". I rang Hotel Anna immediately only to receive a very unprofessional and rude response. We really didn't expect this when we had very clearly done the correct procedure through booking.com and received a positive reply from Hotel Anna. We were advised to book again, which I did, direct this time to save them money but meanwhile as it was late crashed at a friend's house. Arrived next day to a very cold reception to be told very sorry we are now full! This was interesting as a) there were still vacancies advertised and b) some of our friends were staying there too and they told us there were still vacancies. Incidentally they also had issues whilst there but that is not my story. My advice, if all goes OK you will be fine here I am sure but if you do encounter any problems they were one of the most unprofessional people we have ever encountered - Give this a wide berth! Luckily we did find an alternative but were were driving from hotel to hotel. This very nearly ruined a great holiday.

Dinner
We have been coming here since 2017 and generally had good service however we brought guest tonight and we were EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED. We have no problem waiting for service when we see large parties and have been informed as well. We’ve been in the food industry too.
It took 20 minutes for the waitstaff to even take our drink order and since knowing the large parties, I figured it was best to add our meal order at that time....
NOPE! Would not take it !
It was almost 30 MORE minutes before the staff came to our table.....please let me tell you that many tables had been served and guests finished then left. A new person came to tell us they had large parties,,,,, still they had been ordered and we were ignored. We FINALLY GOT OUR ORDER TAKEN and then told it was going to be nearly another HOUR for dinner???????
I decided to leave with my party of 4 and the new waitstaff told me this was NOT MC DONALDS... I wasn’t looking for that and hence why I went to Anna’s , but after what would have been close to 2 hours for 4 Jaeger Schnitzels , I had enough. I’m turning in my FREQUENT BUYER CARD TOMORROW as I saw we were the only ones not served. Even was told that I could speak to the manager but it might take 30-45 minutes longer. Why? Not certain. I was terribly sad that this was the service (or lack thereof )
I had previously given a great review as well as my husband, but no longer. 2 of my friends were there and witnessed this and were horrified that we were being completely ignored.

HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE!!! NOT Military-Friendly!!!
The hotel is OLD. You hear EVERYTHING going on in the hallway and even downstairs in the kitchen/restaurant. Zero sound barrier/insulation. I stayed on the first floor on the end of the hallway and I could hear conversations at the other end of the hall in the foyer at the reception desk below me. I heard vacuuming. I heard people walking around above me. I heard the kitchen and restaurant below me. Linens were changed ONCE during a 3-week stay. Pillows and bedding is horrible. Trash was only taken out when I placed it in the hallway. ***Payment for 3-week stay was charged up front to the Govt Credit Card. Military duty required an early departure. Management would not refund card for two-day early departure. NO REFUNDS UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE! One military member's mother passed away and a refund was not given for early departure. Bookkeeping is a nightmare and screams of fraud as the same military member's room that had to leave early due to death in the family and was not refunded was also rented out after he left. Double-dipping! Incredibly arrogant, stubborn, and greedy owner/manager. She would not offer to make it right with the military members who had to leave early even after being called on by the Ramstein Air Base lodging office to discuss the discrepancies. This hotel & restaurant should not be used by any military members. United States tax dollars wasted. I propose that it be "black listed" and never used again. HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE and I didn't even mention everything. The ONLY good thing about this experience was the coffee/cappuccino machine in the lobby.

Unwelcoming
Extremely small room up two large flights of stairs, balcony was dirty and unsafe as there were holes in the guard rails. Never received new towels or removal of trash. It was VERY hot in the room as there is no AC; only a fan to blow around hot air. The decor is horrible and there wasn’t parking a few times due to people eating at the restaurant. Close to the air force base and a great location to walk around is all it has going for it.
