Very great, exclusive and nicely furnished hotel in the best location Plauens
There were two in the wellness weekend at Alexandra. From the foyer to the dining room a very nice and coordinated ambience. Super friendly staff. The baroque suite is a dream. Food excellent (from breakfast to 3 course dinner.
The massages were also perfectly matched to us and the physiotherapist was great.
It all fit perfectly.
PS: small note on my part - I felt better off with you than at the 5 star "West In Grand" in Berlin
Keep it up.
We will definitely come back.

A bit disappointed
This hotel is a bit old. At the reception first of all friendly welcome, our room unfortunately very small with an upholstered bed where two different mattresses were on it, which also slipped at night. In the bathroom, the make-up spout was broken.
The spa area is actually nicely designed large but loveless. The pool was cold and the sauna lacked hooks for hanging up the bathrobes. We were almost 8 people down in the spa area and there was only one hook to hang. Unfortunately, the light cannot be dimmed and somehow some quiet music was missing. An oil for infusion for the sauna would have been nice too. Especially a drinks dispenser in the sauna area was completely missing. The towels were all when we arrived on Feb. Day about 7 p.m. wanted to go to the sauna. So let me know again...
We then changed rooms on the second day to sleep even worse. The room on the 4. Floor had a black metal bed which grows and squeaks when one just turns around. Out back to the yard and underground parking there is a fan somewhere at night that is very loud.
Unfortunately, the receptionist doesn't really know the rooms. We thought it was a real shame because we were really looking forward to a nice weekend in Plauen. We were allowed by friends to look at the 408, they were lucky and probably the nicest room. Breakfast was fine. But the coffee situation a disaster. You stood at the coffee machine for ages to get a coffee. Why don't you make regular coffee in pots? That would have eased the situation. The scrambled eggs were unfortunately cold and also somehow weird so in the middle to build up the breakfast. Somehow there's no concept here. The toaster is in the tea but the bread is quite somewhere else.
The staff were friendly and helpful.
So maybe you should go through here with different eyes and change some little things here and there...for 4 stars we were actually disappointed.

Anything but "pleasure days" in Plauen
We had booked about short-times-away 2 nights under the motto "pleasure days in Plauen".
The hotel had a great location for us.
The staff was very friendly, so you can't complain.
The room was small but clean, tidy and quiet.
Quite enough for us.
We had a 3-course and 4-course menu included.
That was a total mess. It had nothing to do with pleasure.
The starter soups were probably ready to stir and, when we were served them, had already formed a skin on the surface.
The 4-course menu included fish with potatoes and cauliflower.
The food was neither nicely arranged nor was it good in taste.
On the second evening there were pork medallions with cream champions and spaetzle. Totally tasteless.
Two small slices of meat buried under a mountain of mushrooms.
For the price we paid, we were mega disappointed.
The hotel had a great location for us.
The staff was very friendly, so you can't complain.

Optical hui, culinary hui
We booked a romantic 3-course dinner with massage and overnight stay from Saturday to Sunday on the last weekend of September.
When we entered the hotel we had a very good first impression. Visually everything is very pompous with lots of gold and Versace wallpaper. The café and restaurant also keep up with this.
The receptionist's outfit is rather not. Exhausted grey sneakers and a jacket that was at least two sizes too big grounded you at first.
We arrived around 1pm, and learned that our massages would be one after the other from 6pm. On the note that 8 pm dinner with 3 courses is quite late, only the armpits were lifted with the suggestion we can contact the restaurant management...
The room was spacious and the bathroom clean. We wanted to go to the wellness area immediately after moving into the room and were in the dark. On request we learned only from 4 pm "open". So here too time pressure because of the massages, but we were able to explore the center of Plauen. Wow.
4 pm in the wellness area, the sauna warm but dark, on the pool an oil film and say and write four loungers for all hotel guests. The light was then turned on but the water quality could not/did not want to change in the shortness of time. Then 90 minutes is enough to massage. The anti-stress massage was satisfying for both of us.
Completely starved, we arrived at a half-filled restaurant at 8 p.m. and we received our table.
We had the menu of a four course meal and the waitress just told us to ignore the soup. As a starter salad with goat cheese. Since this isn't for everyone, we asked if you could take the pumpkin soup out of the menu instead. That's so okay.
The appetizers came with the information that the kitchen was not so flexible today. So there was no pumpkin soup but one where the name was forgotten.
In short: the soup was visually and tastelessly undefined, lukewarm and salty. The salad would be drowned in the dressing, the 08/15 baguette was from some point but not fresh. The hardness test of the bread at the edge of the table caused joy at least at the adjacent tables. We were given a pumpkin soup and fresh bread.
The main course was salmon fillet with Parmesan herb crust, tomato and pepper sauce on pasta...
After the appetizer, I suspected bad things and was confirmed. The salmon was dry and lukewarm, the "Parmesan herb crust" were breadcrumbs in butter but not what the name promised. The crust that was not had not seen Parmesan, nor any herb. The pasta also lukewarm, drowned in butter and salt was probably all because it ended up in the indefinable soup. We let that go back, too. The chef came to us and apologized, but sought the blame from the trainee. We refused the offer to choose something from the menu, because it was already 9pm. But a liqueur on the house could not save the menu. The dessert, flambéed peaches were as far as i.O. were flambéed by the waiters at the table.
The sweeper in front of the hotel woke us up 7am to Sunday, the fried bread from the discounter at the breakfast buffet, the missing bacon to the Tetrapack-full and the lack of dark or grain rolls I took only as a side note. Coffee in, a glass of sparkling wine after and goodbye.
We will definitely not forget this romantic trip and remember it for a very long time.

We can highly recommend the hote and will check in there again.
We were on a short break in Plauen. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our visits to the restaurant convinced us both in the food offered and served and in the Service. The offer at the breakfast buffet was plentiful and extensive; as well as the drinks offered. The Service was also very accommodating and very friendly.
