Weekend in Munich

Hotel well managed by the owner Holger who appears immediately helpful and welcoming. The room we were assigned is located on the third and last floor, from which you can enjoy a beautiful Bavarian panorama. The hotel has some parking spaces in a covered garage (for a fee), useful in bad weather. Reception closes at 18:00, but you are free to access at any time with your keys.
The only flaw, for Italians:-) lacks the bidet.
Pets are welcome, for a small fee.
The hotel is located in Planegg, on the south-west outskirts of Munich, whose center is easily accessible by line S6 (stop about 300 meters from the property). On the street of the hotel there are several shops of various kinds and places to eat.

Hier bedient der Chef noch selbst

The expression 'Hier bedient der Chef noch selbst' is difficult to translate directly; loosely translated it means that the owner works still himself.
I can recommend to contact the hotel directly by email to book - less expensive than by third parties and quite responsive.
The service was really excellent and the staff was super friendly and accommodating. We stayed with 2 adults and 2 kids in a room and the room was spacious, the beds perfectly firm and a little balcon to enjoy a quiet evening.
The location is great if you want to stay away from the City over night and enjoy a calm morning. You are downtown by S-Bahn in 25 minutes and the service is very reliable.
The rooms do not have AC - which is common in Germany. If you happen to come to Munich during a heat wave, this may not be the best location if it affects you.

Fantastic trip that even the football couldn't ruin!

Stayed here for 3 nights whilst Scotland were playing Germany at Euro 2024.
We had a 4 bed room on the 3rd (top floor) which had great space for everyone.
We received a warm welcome at reception and again on each morning at breakfast. The staff were fantastic and the breakfast was well stocked with the standard cold buffet you'd expect in Europe along with scrambled egg and bacon.
Our room had a fridge and a safe which were welcomed bonuses. There was also a small balcony with views over the village and the main street below.
There is a supermarket at street level within the same building which again was really handy.
The hotel is no more than a 5 minutes walk to the local s-bahn station which has a direct line into the centre of Munich.
If you're looking to visit Munich but also would like the taste of a Bavarian village then this is a great place to stay and visit. Wish we had an extra day or two here.

Nice hotel

We stayed here one night in their new building where the room size is good. The location i quiet except for when you're close to the front door, it slams loud when people are not careful when they come in late. The beds are very comfortable and the rooms are clean. Buffet breakfast is good and the staff is very friendly. Loved their coffee, strong and flavorful. There are three parking spaces outside or you can park underground at 5 euros a night I believe. Free wi-fi. Would definitely stay here again.
