Hospitality is very important here!

My stay at Haus Thal was very pleasant. I was looked after very well and my every wish was fulfilled. The beds are extremely comfortable and I had no complaints about the breakfast. Big compliments to the host who made my stay even more pleasant with his friendliness. I will definitely come back if I am in the area!

Amazing experience

First time here from the US for my business trip. I love this beautiful family owned hotel and restaurant. The owner is so friendly and I love the relaxing vibe. The owner is a chef and running this business with his wife. Foods here are amazing and service is on a bit slow side but during the pandemic, and running it themselves, I give it a A++ in my world. The room is clean and comfy and cozy!!!!!!! I highly recommend this place if you are around!!!!!!

Most awesome staff and enjoyable stay

What a great place to stay. Out in the country with cows on the grassy hills and not far from some great restaurants. It is a small hotel with maybe 8 rooms per floor on 3 floors. The rooms and bathrooms are a bit small, but normal for Europe travel. There is a restaurant that offers free breakfast and good dinners that are sure to leave you very full for a reasonable price. The owners are the nicest people and very accommodating.
There are limited shops within walking distance. A gas station that has a convenience store, a Pizza/Indian restaurant, and a small pub. There are two bakeries and a bank as well as a meat market all within a 10 minute walk. There are some nice small hikes that you can take as well. There are several nice restaurants that are a bit longer walk away or better for a short drive.
The beds are a bit small for people over 6 feet tall and the internet can be a bit slow, but is generally fine for casual internet and email.

the bathroom are good, Attention: very hot water possible

Were pleasant stay

We were for fairs in Cologne and this place was the closest to the city which had free rooms and reasonable prices. That was how we decided for Haus Thal. However, on site, we were happy to end up here because:
1. Place is very quite and peaceful, so we were able to rest after tiring days in Koelmesse.
2. Owners are very nice and helpful.
3. Breakfasts are very tasty.
4. Rooms are very clean and nice.
The price comparing to other choices we had (during huge fairs) was much lower than in other places. We had sometimes some problems with WiFi, but I highly recommend Haus Thal.
