Cosy, friendly, wonderful view

We have been to Oberstdorf many times, but for the first time in the Drachenfels. A bit away from the town centre, but still not too far, also within walking distance to the train station. After a very quick and pleasant communication in advance we found a cozy guest house where we were greeted friendly. There's only breakfast here, but that's very special. For such a small house we would not have expected it so well. There are drinks in the house, coffee, tea and water are included. The decor is as described, everything is very clean and makes a well maintained impression. from the room with balcony we had a very nice view towards Nebelhornbahn and also towards the south. We felt very comfortable during the three-night stay.

Superb accommodation

The English speaking owner gave me a warm and well organised reception. The room had a comfortable bed and an en-suite shower. All was spotlessly clean. People were able to take drinks from a cabinet and pay for them the next morning - on trust. An outside garden provided a relaxing place to sit and chat with others as the sun set. A good self-service continental breakfast was provided. The location on a quiet street was only 5 minutes on foot from the main area of the village. I would certainly stay here again. An excellent place - thoroughly recommended.

Sehr schön und gemütlich

Es hat mir sehr gut gefallen, so liebevoll wie ein Zuhause geführt und dabei sauber und professionell. Tolle Lage und ein Gastgeber, der immer ansprechbar ist. Das Frühstück in Selbstbedienung und ein Haus voller schöner alter Möbel.

Tussenstop onderweg naar Oostenrijk

Onderweg naar Oostenrijk wilde we de Breitachklamm bezoeken en we zochten een logeeradresje in de buurt. Drachenfels was voor ons een uitstekend verblijf. Het verraste ons met een mooie, ruime, nette kamer met balkon en een mooi uitzicht op de rustgevende, natuurlijke tuin en omliggende bergen. Het ontbijt was eenvoudig doch prima in orde! De gastheer en zijn personeel waren vriendelijk, behulpzaam en correct.

Tolles Gaestehaus mit hilfsbereitem, freundlichen Besitzer und Personal

Der Besitzer hat uns mit großem Einsatz und erfolgreich bei der Suche nach einem Zimmer für eine weitere Nacht geholfen, da Drachenfels für eine spontane weitere Nacht leider schon ausgebucht war.. Der Aufenthalt im Haus selbst, war aufgrund des entspannten gemütlichen Umgangs und der Atmosphäre die im Haus und im Garten herrschte, entspannend und familiär. Man fühlte sich sogleich wohl, etwa so wie "coming home". Besser geht es für mich nicht
