Horror. Horror. Horror.

My very worst hotel experience ever.
The hotel was locked (!!!) soI lugged my suitcase to the sister hotel - about ten minutes by foot - and got the information that there would be noone at the reception (really?). Having arrived back, braved the key safe and dragged my luggage up to my room (Lift? what lift?) I was assaulted by a penetrating smell of mould from the shower cubicle. The shower curtain must have seen better days too, approximately in the 1970s. The bed turned out to be the cheapest kind of foam mattress shoved into the carcass of half a jeep. I kid you not. As for storage space, there was a single rod welded to the car from which dangled three wire hangers.
I never even unpacked. Not wanting to risk my health (Dirt. Mould. God knows what else lurked in the shower), I called the receptionist at the other Meistereck hotel and told him I would move elsewhere. I got a refund of exactly 0 (zero) Euros for the two nights that cost me the staggering amount of 150,- - quite a tidy sum for a single room in a questionable hotel in Nuremberg. Unfortunately, I had paid in advance.
To add insult to injury, it was made impossible for me to leave a review at the website I made the booking at. The hotel had classed me as a no show.
My advice: Avoid this hotel like the plague. If not, you might catch it.

Overpriced

A very overpriced hotel room for @240/night with no breakfast included and no-one at reception. I had to be given instructions to find a key and let myself in. For the money I paid I would have expected at least someone to greet me on arrival and to have breakfast included. The hotel also took the fee twice for my booking and I have not yet managed to have it returned despite numerous phone calls.

Good value. Perfect location near train station

Exiting place in cool African style. Very near central train station, just walk in the tunnel under the station and you will reach the hotel after 100 m. Moderately priced. Somewhat perculier smell in corridor. No noise from streets.
Vi gillade verkligen hotellet.

The best value, location and experience money can buy!

Checking out of this hotel I felt that I should write a review here to recommend it, something that I have never done for a hotel before. I was shocked to see the many bad reviews. First of all, the location of this hotel could not be better. But unlike most hotels that are right next to the central station, this place qualifies as a boutique hotel where every last detail has been thought of and delivered to perfection. The kind of originality and effort that has gone in to it is impressive. They offer the best coffee from a machine in the lounge at no cost. The breakfast has a wide selection of the best brands of foods. The staff is most pleasant. But what really makes this hotel a homerun is the affordable price. I have paid more for hostels on the outskirts of cities! And this is the only hotel in Germany I have stayed at that wasn't a rip-off. I would recommend this place every time and wish there were more entrepreneurs like these guys in the German hotel business!
