Spacious and comfortable hotel. Ideally located for cycling and hiking. In the middle of the vineyards. Very good value for money.

Always great!

We liked this hotel so much, that this is the fifth time we are going to stay here for a week. Nice spacious rooms, great breakfast and dinner. Of course - as Weingut - fine wines.
The attractive thing about Mertesdorf is that you are close to everything. At the Moselle with all its nice places, including Trier, according to some the oldest city in Germany (10 km away). But also the low mountains, the Hunsrück at 45 min. distance.

Relaxation in the middle of the vineyards

Very well run hotel.
Cosy rooms, partly modernized.
Perfect location for various activities, we were hiking through the vineyards.
The restaurant offers many delicacies. My favorite was the grazing cattle from the Eifel region.
The desserts were also delicious.
Here, of course, the wines are recommended.
The winemaker recommends the appropriate wine.

Hotel Weis always top!

This is the fourth time we have stayed at Hotel Weis and for good reason. Great hotel, good staff, great food and great wines, well Hotel Weingunt...
Hotele Weis is located in the town of Mertesdorf. It is located at an altitude of 199 m in the Ruwertal, 10 km from the center of Trier. The Ruwer is a tributary of the Moselle.
The location also appeals to us. Mertesdorf is a quiet town, 10 km from the always nice Trier (according to some the oldest city in Germany with the famous Porta Nigra (on the World Heritage List). But Mertesdorf is also close to the Hunsrück: walking!

Quiet with high class.

A peaceful and quiet hotel in the middle of its own wine fields. Rooms are large and airy. The whole hotel is clean and neat. English knowledge of the service was sufficient. The food we were served hold high class, the same did the own-produced wine. Good parking conditions. This is a hotel in a quiet setting that we think is best suited for adults. The only negative was the lack of coffee/tea boilers in the room. We had a great stay here.
