Thuringian tradition and passion

Never again! One will never forget this experience again. Thuringia, known for its fairytale-like half-timbered houses and its direct connection to the forest and nature - the journey there alone borders on unbridled sensory overload - cute, passionate, and so clean that you could eat off every crosswalk and every bench.
To get to the guest parking lot, you drive a few meters onto the property and past the reception and the vacation homes. And what I perceived in just those few meters cannot be surpassed in any way in terms of passion and love for wood in its holistic form! Furniture, decor, fountains - everything is wood - but staged in an indescribable way and perfectly coordinated with all the good tastes of this world.
Actually, the Ibold family should be able to charge admission just for the exhibition. Yes, the Ibolds. Google limits the length of reviews a little, so I have to keep it brief when describing the people who made everything possible here.
Frank Ibold is a person who, just for his friendly charisma, collects the full 10 out of 10 sympathy points from the very first second; furthermore, the Thuringian original can tell you more entertaining, exciting, and paradoxical anecdotes from his life than there are versions of the Bible in the world. And with every little detail that you find on the premises, the (landlord) family manages to bring it to life - whether with Frank's memoirs or without, a visit is more informative than any lecture or museum visit - it is genuine and it is heartfelt.
And I wish for myself and the Ibold Ensemble that this intergenerational life's work continues to exist eternally.
We will be back!!!!

Rund um sorglos!

Wir waren heute mit der Firma hier und es hat alles gepasst. Preis-/Leistung sind wirklich ausgezeichnet und der Service war ebenfalls super. Das Schnitzel wird hier wie früher bei Oma in der Pfanne und nicht wie so häufig in der Fritteuse gebraten.
Hingehen lohnt sich! Empfehlung!

Ganz nett

Ganz nett, teilweise recht freundlich (besonders Herr Ibold) ansonsten eher durchschnittlich.
Die Zimmer sind zweckmäßig und sauber, das Essen ok, Getränkepreise auch ok, Service noch etwas ausbaufähig.
Erwähnenswert ist das Wildgehege, dass ca. 500 Meter vom Hotel/Restaurant entfernt ist.

exzellentes Gänseessen

wir verbrachten ein Wochenende mit Freunden zum Martinsgansessen, das Hotel ist ein einfaches Landhotel, aber sehr gemütlich eingerichtet, vor allen der Außenbereich sehr liebevoll gestaltet; die Zimmer sind einfach eigerichtet, sauber, leider fehlte ein Stück Seife, das Duschgel war zu wenig; das Personal inklusive Chef war sehr nett, der Chef informierte uns über mögliche Wanderungen und war auch bereit, uns vom Ziel abzuholen; ausgesprochen lecker war das Gänseessen vom Buffet, so gut haben wir es noch nie erlebt

Schönes Landhotel

Gut eingerichtet und aktuell gestaltet. Landhaustypisch. Urige Gaststätte in der guter Betrieb herrscht. Essen ist gut. Das Frühstück wird an einen langen Theke angerichtet - alles dabei. Die Zimmer sind ruhig. Es kommt zu ein wenig Straßenlärm, da das Landhaus direkt an der örtlichen Hauptstraße liegt. Es gibt Möglichkeiten im schön gestalteten Hinterhof zu verweilen. Sanitäre Einrichtungen funktionieren.
Mit Internet ist es eher schlecht.
Ich habe unruhig geschlafen, da die Matratzen mir persönlich zu dünn und hart sind.
