Great hotel

Very nice friendly staff. Nice clean room. Breakfast was prepared with a lot of love. Was only one night in Ludwigslust and will probably come back next year with my wife.
I felt very comfortable!

More of a three-star level, but the breakfast buffet is high-quality.

The hotel rooms are very plain and relatively small. Unfortunately, you can hear the neighbors showering and watching TV. The reception by a temp was very cold and was somewhat confusing.
The beds are a bit too soft, the light in the bathroom is rather sparse, and for me, the days of having a shower in the bathtub are over. The location is very quiet.
On the other hand, the extensive breakfast buffet was excellent, with very friendly service that took drink orders.

Top address for a city trip

Essentially, one can only report positive things about the hotel. Therefore, our thanks initially go to the entire team of the house, which made our stay so pleasant.
The parking options in the courtyard are easily accessible and offer sufficient space. The reception staff conveys a relaxed and friendly feeling to the guest. The check-in was uncomplicated and possible well before the official time. The provided room No. 222 turned out to be very spacious, with a nice seating area, a double bed with separate mattresses, and a minibar that, in our view, was not optimally stocked (no wine, champagne). The window front faces Schlossstraße and is not optimal for noise levels during morning traffic with open windows. The sleeping/living area features a small foyer with a coat rack and wardrobe. The bathroom is adequately sized according to the circumstances; however, the bathtub/shower combination is not optimal for older individuals, as getting in and out of the tub requires some adjustment.
The entire house is very clean, and the interior radiates a certain elegance that is already noticeable in the lobby.
The in-house restaurant is small but exquisite. Located in a glass-enclosed courtyard, the tables are tastefully set. The table decoration (natural flowers, table porcelain, and table linens) shows the appreciation for the guest dining here. The table service is unobtrusive, discreet, yet attentive, demonstrating expertise in advising on food and beverages. Here, the excellent service provided by Ms. Fuchs deserves mention. With her unique sense of humor and empathy, Ms. Fuchs knows how to delight her guests. For this, we extend our extraordinary thanks.
The menu is well-structured according to the given circumstances and reflects a love for the region. The combination of product quality and culinary craftsmanship in the kitchen is outstanding. Although the offered amuse-bouche (herring in aspic with wasabi cream) may not be to everyone's taste, we enjoyed it. The tomato-olive tartare with marinated goat cheese was the right choice as an appetizer and paired excellently with the selected white wine. The chosen main course (veal schnitzel with Wöbbelin asparagus) did not quite meet expectations. The schnitzel was unevenly flattened, although the meat texture was still good in terms of bite. The dessert (five types of cheese from France) with a Merlot rounded off the meal.
Overall, even the discerning connoisseur will find satisfaction here.

A lovely hotel, well worth a detour

We returned for our second stay in this hotel on the way back from a stay at the Baltic Sea. Due to the corona situation, things were a little different than our first visit, but we still loved the warm welcome and helpful staff. Our room on the 2nd floor was spacious, comfortable and spotlessly clean. We had a delicious dinner In the restaurant, and breakfast was prepared to order. Hand sanitisers were available in all public areas and and all staff wore masks consistently.

Warm welcome in a lovely hotel

We travelled 500km and back to stay one night here. We had never heard of either Ludwigslust or the hotel but I’m sure we will be back. The hotel is in an historic building, beautifully renovated and furnished, but it the welcome we received that really shines - both staff and proprietress were warm and helpful, as if we were old friends. The food at the evening event we attended was delicious, and service exemplary - right down to the “traditional” nightcap drunk in company of the other guests outside on the bridge at the end of the street (warm blankets provided). Our room was large, spotlessly clean and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent- fresh, varied and tasty.
