rundum Verwöhn-Urlaub

Von der ersten Sekunde an hat man sich hier durch die Hotelbesitzerfamilie willkommen und umsorgt gefühlt! Das Hotel macht schon von aussen einen sehr schönen, großzügigen und gepflegten Eindruck mit dem weitläufigen Rotwild-Gehege und dem gemütlichen großen Biergarten! Innen fällt einem sofort der wunderschöne, edle Speiseraum mit Blick auf das Rotwildgehege auf! Es ist in edlem schwarz-weiß gehalten und wird sowohl als Restaurant, genutzt als auch als Frühstücksraum für die Hotelgäste. Unser Zimmer war im dritten Stock sehr ruhig nach hinten zum Garten gelegen, mit Blick auf die ländliche Hotelumgebung. Die Zimmereinrichtung mit Flachbildfernseher ist zweckmäßig und völlig ausreichend von der Größe her. Auch das Badezimmer ist angenehm von Größe und Ausstattung her. Das ganze Hotel ist schön sauber und gepflegt! Der absolute Traum ist aber das Essen im Rahmen der Halbpension! Einfach traumhaft lecker!!! Das abendliche 3-Gänge-Menü war ein allabendliches Highlight und kann mit jedem guten Restaurant mithalten! Ein ganz dickes Lob nochmal an den Herrn des Hauses der selbst in der Küche steht! ganz etwas Besonderes sind hier die Wildgerichte vom eigenen Rotwild aus dem Gehege - superlecker!!! Überhaupt ist die ganze Hotelier´s-Familie total nett und sehr bemüht den Gästen einen schönen Aufenthalt zu bereiten. Wir haben uns rundum zufrieden und verwöhnt gefühlt.
Das Hotel liegt in einem schönen, kleinen sehr ruhigen idyllischen Eifeldorf. Hier kann man wunderbar entspannen und schlafen, ist aber bei Bedarf sehr schnell und problemlos an fast jedem sehenswürdigen Ort in der Eifel, da hier perfekte Autobahn-Anbindung ist! also der perfekte Ort zum entspannen und auch fürs Sightseeing im Urlaub! Wir können das Hotel rundum empfehlen!!

Overpriced and tasteless fare in a threatening ambience

We were driving around the Eifel in Rheinland Palatinate when we came across this hotel/restaurant in the small village of Laubach. The restaurant, decorated in the colours black and white, was cold, impersonal and almost threatening.
The steaks we ordered (medium rare), were overcooked, chewy, tasteless and served on icy cold plates and really nothing to write home about. The accompanying fries seemed to be leftovers from the day's lunch. The german diners at the next table (an elderly couple, who, as we later learnt, were from the neighbouring town of Mayen) continuously made disparaging remarks about the food they had been served and remarked that this would be the first and last time that they would dine here.
Leaving most of our meal uneaten, we settled our check and 'fled' the premises with the uncomfortable feeling of having been 'taken for a ride' in a tourist trap!

Verkehrsgünstig gelegenes Hotel

Das einfache Hotel liegt verkehrsgünstig in der Nähe der Autobahn.
Der Empfang war sehr freundlich, allerdings mit dem Hinweis, dass an sich Einchecken nur bis 18 Uhr !! Möglich ist.
Die sauberen Zimmer sind über mehrere Stockwerke verteilt. Ein Fahrstuhl gibt es nicht.
Fernsehen ist nicht möglich. Im Zimmer liegt keine Beschreibung wie die zwei Fernbedienungen bzw. der Adapter zu bedienen ist.
Das Frühstück ist ausreichend aber nicht reichlich.
Parkplatz ist kostenlos und groß

Overnachting

Wij hadden dit hotel geboekt voor 1 overnachting.
Goed ontvangst, ruime kamer met badkamer alleen zo’n douche hadden we zo nog nooit meegemaakt ‘t werkte heel vreemd, ik kan het niet eens navertellen, thermostaat in de cabine en de kranen er buiten.
Diner was goed en voldoende. Ontbijt goed, er was voldoende alleen geen fruit.
En wij hadden uitzicht op de herten. Erg leuk.

Empfehlenswert

Sehr freundliches Personal, saubere Zimmer, sehr gutes Essen und eine gute Lage mit schöner Aussicht, ruhig gelegen. Es sind genug Parkplätze vorhanden. Leider war die Masseuse in den Ferien und das Wlan war schlecht. Davon abgesehen sehr empfehlenswertes Hotel.
