A fantastic stay for your wedding day!
Despite initial scepticism due to some reviews, we treated ourselves to a junior suite at Schlosshotel Klink for our wedding anniversary – and were more than positively surprised. The first impression of the hotel: majestic and stylish, just like a castle should be. Our room in the Orangery – on the top floor – offered a fantastic view directly of the Müritz and was extremely generous and elegantly furnished. The welcome at the reception was extremely warm and professional. Even in the restaurant, the staff convinced with attention and friendliness, the food was simply delicious. Our expectations were exceeded many times over.

A secluded hotel, with only a small beach area and three simple restaurants nearby.
We had ordered an accessible room but received a room with a shower; we went directly back to the reception and requested a room with a shower. The receptionist checked and said no room was available, asking us to come back tomorrow to check (this is not service). He should have offered to notify us when a room became available. Additionally, no explanation was given about the cleaning of the room (cleaning only on the second day). The room had no air conditioning. The service at breakfast was good; we wanted a glass of champagne, but the response was that it was only available for a fee. This is free at hotels by Dr. Lohbeck. So, we ordered two glasses of champagne for each breakfast, and at the final bill, we saw that each glass was charged 15 euros (rip-off). There were no disabled parking spaces, even though with the number of parking spots, 2 or 3 could have been marked as such. Overall, the service was not what we are used to from Dr. Lohbeck. We would definitely not book this hotel again.

The advertising is better than reality.
I don't know why most hotels seem to mess with their new guests. I arrived, having booked a room with a lake view, and was given a room under the roof with no Wi-Fi and a lake view through the bathroom window. My complaint was met with a slight eye roll at reception and the explanation that the hotel was fully booked. There were 10 cars in the parking lot, but it had space for 100. Eventually, I did get a room with a lake view and Wi-Fi. It had a bed with a saggy mattress and all the charm of the 90s. No kettle, no coffee, no tea in the room. The spa area is decent, I couldn't find the gym, and the à la carte food was a poor attempt at being good, but not very well executed. It wasn't exactly cheap and was served with a touch of stress. The continental breakfast was ok. Would I come back? No.

Definitely never get back into that shabby slug!
We have travelled a lot in the past few years, but we have rarely experienced such poor value for money. For 190 euros a night you get an old worn-out room, the bed frame full of stains, in the bathroom dirt, jumped tiles and a bathtub from the 80s. A shower in the bathtub with curtain (!) is not contemporary. The walls of the rooms must be painted urgently.
We can't confirm the comforting suggestion of the hotel management about permanent renovation, especially since we were there NOW and the room is in need of renovation NOW - the full money was wanted! An expensive ambience will be sold and delivered max. 2 star quality !
Food: bad and overpriced; we had to wait a long time for food – why ? There is only menu on offer or few dishes a la carte, that must be faster. My wife complained of stomach pain afterwards.
Breakfast was fine, though the fruit and vegetables provided had already had an overnight stay in the cool.
The so-called wellness area consists of a small, relatively shallow pool and several saunas. Nothing outstanding, but functional. Staff for sauna infusion or even a bar for drinks – of course misrepresentation !
Otherwise, the staff was friendly and helpful.
Parking, formerly free, now costs 15 euros per day – why?
There is an energy surcharge of 3.50 euros per day – why ? Energy has been more expensive for years, which can also be included in the room rates. Money is required until the rind crashes – and beforehand a notice at check-in of course just as much a misrepresentation as an info in the guest info folder – which did not exist at all !
Conclusion: find another accommodation in the area, but if you want to spend money for a tuneful ambience, this is the right place. I'm sure we won't be back.

Cons:
Rooms: The furniture is still the same as it was about 30 years ago when I first visited the castle (orangery), and it looks like it. With a room rate of 276 or 297 euros (Christmas price !) this is not acceptable, a regular renovation must simply be in it.
Parking, formerly free, now costs 15 euros per day.
The walls of the rooms urgently need to be painted; even the cobwebs in the corners could be removed.
Bathroom: Shower in the bathtub with curtain (!) is not contemporary. There are no storage areas. And the toilet is so low that three-year-olds can use it well, for older people with osteoarthritis it is an imposition.
It takes endless time for the water to warm up. I took a lukewarm shower.
I didn't take breakfast; I never eat breakfast; but it didn't affect the price.
I was very unhappy with the dinner at GARDEN EDEN. Despite early request we got a small table in the middle of the passage in the hall "Klink"; there were still some tables at the window overlooking the lake available all the time. The lady who assigned us the table was very unprofessional; by no means friendly, stressed and annoyed.
There was no choice in the menu (54 euros without wines); since I don’t eat meat, I was offered a piece of fish, which was just fried without any sophistication, it could have come from a fish stall.
For the next evening, Christmas Eve, I found a charming restaurant, Paulshöhe in Waren, which met all demands and treated guests like guests.
