Mini-chamber with views of a wall and downpipe.

I wondered when I checked in why the lady insisted on prepayment. (Depositing a credit card at this 4* hotel as a deposit and not wanting to settle it in the end) But when I saw the single room already booked in advance, I suspected that it must have been a utility room or broom closet in the past.
Had I seen it before, I would have cancelled the booking immediately.

Too expensive, price performance poor, room (double room) in desolate condition. Bathe a joke.

We had arrived as a family. My son is already 25 years young, so 2 rooms. I moved into the junior suite with my husband, with a little pomeranian lady. My son with his girlfriend a standard double room. The double room was in a desolate state. The minibar screwed up, there are none in the room. The lighting was blown out when it was switched on. The decor should be urgently renewed or maintained and I have not experienced such a "BATH" in my life in a hotel room! If anything 2 square meters, you can't turn in it. The shower a disaster, the sink attached in front of the toilet... if you lowered your head, you skilfully hit the sink when you sit on the toilet... there's a cupboard bigger! Price performance a disaster! We have upgraded to the junior suite. All very new. It smells terrible here! I appreciate the glaze of the beams, which has not yet been properly aired. For the dog you pay 15 euros extra, no matter how big. There is no such thing as a dog bowl. Not in the room, mind you. There is a treat on arrival. By the way, green spaces around the hotel also not and the parking in the backyard... I hope you get along well with your vehicle and it's not big. Breakfast was ok. Many things taste "sour" and the service was very unfriendly towards my son. Probably because the room number is one of the "lower." It improved when my husband and I joined. In the end, I can only recommend: Esplanade, price performance much better, friendlier, clean, decent rooms and no usury. There are no green spaces there, but neither is there in the bear. That was actually why we booked here. Unfortunately, a huge mistake. 4 stars , not justified. I'm sorry.... I was very annoyed and also very ashamed towards my son. It was all announced in advance, with wishes such as bathtub. Was completely ignored in both rooms. Why? The email was not answered. Feels all overwhelmed... not a good experience. ..

BEWARE OF FEES ! ACHTUNG !

Please beware of their charging fees not matching the specific event. Celebrating Mother's Day 2025 we prepaid a menu which consisted of shrimp and they served chicken instead. For the same price. Explanation given, was that they had to change the menu at last minute and we were one of the customers they could not get to. Exactly as it sounds, it was a ridiculous and very lame excuse and they did not even adjust the price at 65 Euros per person. Some people and institutions are just plain shameless !

Wellness in Jena

A super well run hotel with the best staff. After a long journey you are happy when everything works out and a nice room is ready. With water for the dog and later a nice restaurant with good food at pleasant prices. Thank you again.
