Great Hotel after a long days journey

Gotta say, after 6 and a half hours in the saddle, some of which was riding through rain this place was a very pleasant oasis to come to. Great service, hearty meals, warm shower and a comfy bed. Oh and at a great price. Don't bother pre- booking. What more could you ask for?

Not recommended

Value for money does not fit at all compared to the other hotels in Göttingen! The rooms are on an ancient level, think 1970. For the price, modernization would be called for. Old carpet with lots of stains looks gross. Furniture probably from the 70s. Bath's going on.
But what's even worse is the mold in the room, that's not possible.
Therefore I can not recommend this accommodation!

A bit tired, but ok

We stayed 3 nights at Onkel Tom's while visiting friends in Gottingen. Rooms are small and a bit tired and in need of some renovation and updating, but clean. It was satisfactory for our stay and was conveniently located for our needs. Breakfast buffet was basic, but satisfactory. Lunch in the restaurant was good. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Alle Erwartungen erfüllt

Eher einfaches Hotel, und die Einrichtung ist sicher nicht mehr auf dem neuesten Stand. Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist dafür aber absolut in Ordnung, und im Zimmer war alles, was man in dieser Kategorie bzw. zu diesem Preis erwarten darf. Angenehm hoher Schlafkomfort. Auch das Frühstücksbüffet war im Rahmen der Erwartungen. Kein Grund zu größerer Kritik.

Willkommen in den 70ern !

Ein sehr liebevoll geführtes Hotel in dem die 70er noch leben. Die Einrichtung ist sehr gepflegt, das Bett gemütlich, die Dusche genau richtig. Das Servicepersonal ist super zuvorkommend und unkompliziert. Das Frühstück bietet eine kleine aber frisch zubereitete Auswahl. der Kaffee schmeckt ausgezeichnet. Einziger Minuspunkt waren die Aufbackbrötchen. Ansonsten Super Preis Leistung.
