A nice surprise

We visited Fulda on our drive through Austria and Germany and were very pleased to find Hotel Bachmuhle and its excellent restaurant next door. Our room was large with lovely big windows, looking out to the front, which proved very worth while as there was a choir singing for someones celebration in the late afternoon, yes there is traffic noise but this did not bother us. Staff were very helpful especially in the restaurant as our German is not so wonderful, but translations were on hand, the food was good as was the breakfast. Lots of space for free parking. We never book ahead and I am picky always see the room to get a feel, had tried 4 other establishments, two were full and two I was not keen to stay in (one being a 4 star in town) so thank you Hotel Bachmuhle, we would stay again if ever travelling this way, the town is very interesting for anyone who has not heard of Fulda.

Great room booked, get outdated crap.

The photos are not true. The whole hotel is unfashionable. Breakfast was great, hotel room horribly hungover but clean.

70s style hotel

Due to a tyre puncture on the holiday return trip to Hamburg we spent one night at this hotel. The rooms are comfortable in size. Everything is top clean and well maintained – but in the 70s style. You have to shower in the bathtub – this is no longer contemporary. The hair dryer hangs on a fixed power cable and can only be kept in operation by continuous pressing. We really liked the breakfast buffet.

Nice place

Spend a night in this hotel in Fulda. A very nice place, quiet and clean. Our room was very nice and comfortable. It is a pity that people at the reception did not speak English... were helpful however.
