Great spot in valley above Schluchsee. Modern clean rooms. Breakfast was tasty for a continental spread. Dinner options were excellebt. Staff great, informative and kind. Would return!

Snack quality

Flared soup made of bouillon powder. Liver strips "refined" with dark sauce from the bag, especially SALT. Salt also in the fried potatoes, irreparable. Swede: Replacement portion without sauce the liver was of very good quality, tender and tasty.

Good traditional hotel

In the middle of the black forest, this traditional hotel has been modernized. It has gained in comfort what it has lost in charm, but it remains very pleasant. The rooms are beautiful, well equipped, the beds quite comfortable. The restaurant is typically German and especially very hearty. very good for one stage.

Top food - as always :o)

We spent a week's holiday at Schluchsee. Since we already knew the Gasthof Hirschen, we ate there three times in one week. We knew that the food there was simply top-notch! No matter what we ordered, the food was simply sensational as always! We highly recommend the lamb's lettuce (lamb's lettuce) with bacon and croutons and a light garlic sauce, the meatloaf, fillet tips stroganoff or the rump steak. It was so delicious and we will visit the restaurant again and again!!

Good middle-class, small and unfortunately right at the village crossing

Unfortunately, the hotel is located on a busy road even at night and is therefore not so quiet.
The reception by the receptionist is rough to unfriendly. Room of category cow is very small but clean.
Restaurant we would describe as good middle class at fair prices.
Extraordinary is that for egg dishes for breakfast up to € 3.50 per person are called extra.
