Disappointing stay despite dream location

Disappointing stay despite dream location
Location:
The location of the hotel is really excellent. It is super connected and the surroundings are beautiful. The parking situation is also fine: Right outside the door there is parking for 5 € a day – you just have to walk a few steps to the entrance.
In the immediate vicinity you can also park for free.
Service & reception:
Unfortunately, this is where the problems begin. The reception is rarely staffed or not staffed at all. When someone is there, communication often fails because of enormous language barriers, as hardly any German is spoken. A mile-wide difference from what you expect from a smooth hotel service.
Breakfast:
Especially annoying: Unfortunately, when booking, you hardly have the choice to deselect breakfast. This is an absolute waste of money, because the €15 per person is in no way justified!
The quality: There are only baked-on rolls of very moderate (not to say underground) quality.
The process: Breakfast starts at 8:00 a.m. – by 8:05 a.m. the buffet is already completely emptied. Those who are patient are followed up.
The staff: The young man on the spot seemed striving, but seemed simply overwhelmed and untrained in preparing and following up a buffet properly. The staff is absolutely not behind.
Conclusion:
The only thing that was edible at breakfast was the coffee. We were extremely disappointed and can absolutely not recommend the hotel – at least in terms of service and food. Beautiful location, but the rest leaves a lot to be desired.

Terrible.

Reception almost never staffed, no contact available. Room not clean, no shower gel, no toothbrush jars. Breakfast for 15 € per person a disaster, never had such a bad breakfast. At 09:15 two slices of sausage and nothing more was added. No fruit, no scrambled eggs. The coffee was terrible. The hotel is in a great location. Also the Greek down at the hotel is great. This hotel never again....

Room okay, breakfast unreasonable for the price, staff not well trained.

Room renovated, functionally furnished. The mini-fridge was shockingly filthy, so it was unusable. The staff was apparently not trained in dealing with guests, no friendly greeting, language barriers prevented communication. The existing indoor pool is apparently not in operation. What was unacceptable, however, is the breakfast. The price-performance ratio is completely out of proportion. Two types of cold cuts, two types of cheese, two types of jam. No variety, no fruit (except for apples), no vegetables, and you had to knock on the kitchen door for any missing food items. The dishes from guests who had finished were not cleared away. For that, the price of 15€ per person is set too high.

Only usable as emergency accommodation. Avoid breakfast.

The location of the hotel is actually good. But beware! Starting at 11:30 PM, all street lighting in the neighborhood is turned off. Anyone arriving after that should have a flashlight with them.
The reception actually does not open until 3:00 PM. Arriving earlier is not advisable, as you will otherwise just sit around in the lobby. The staff is apparently from India or Pakistan and understands and speaks only insufficient German. The toilet in the room had limescale and dirt rings. The washbasin was chipped. When using it, the toilet seat fell off. I was able to fix it myself. When asked about the breakfast room, the receptionist just pointed upward with his finger without taking his eyes off the monitor. Other guests then explained to me that I had to go to the 2nd. floor. The view of the lake was great. The breakfast for 15 euros was a disgrace! At 9:00 AM, there were only three rolls and one dried-out slice of whole-grain bread left. In addition, three slices of sausage and four slices of cheese. There was no butter left. Only upon request were small pieces of butter served on a saucer. I have never seen a more loveless buffet anywhere.

Labor shortage or sell-out?

Check-in is only in English. We can only speak German and therefore also vacation in our home country.
The suite is tastefully furnished and clean except for the carpet. Even upon request, it was not cleaned. We had 2 bathrooms. In one, the soap dispenser was empty, and in the other, the showerhead was completely calcified and the toilet seat was loose. A total of 3 towels and only 1 bath towel for 2 people.
A refrigerator with a freezer compartment is available, makes noise, but does not cool. Of the 2 lamps in the living room, one was defective. A safe is available but was locked, so it was not usable for us. The hotel advertises Netflix, but it costs extra and the menu navigation is only in English.
However, the wonderful weather and the beautiful surroundings compensated us for that.
