A nice relaxing weekend

It is a country hotel - so the interior is cozy and not super modern. The rooms are spacious and a bit rustic. The bathroom was top and big enough.
A week before Christmas we felt we were the only guests and yet in the morning we faced a sumptuous breakfast buffet where nothing was missing and we were also prepared fresh egg dishes.
After a day at various Christmas markets in the area, in rather moderate weather, we were frozen in the evening and although already a bit late, they still turned on the sauna. The wellness area is well equipped with sauna, light cabin, steam sauna and very importantly, a small outdoor area, for cooling off.
The swimming pool had “hidden” behind a locked door.
The dinner in the restaurant was great and the cellar was great! We are happy to recommend the hotel!

Food with full enjoyment

I wasn't there for the night.
Only in.restaurant for food
I was so surprised by positive .
The staff true something from before
coming , I have been years
not experienced it again.
And the food was excellent
Such tender turkey breast fillets with crisp
Vegetables and the noodles in a wonderful Kratersauce. Attached still
subtly a blob of Hollandaise for the vegetables and a fresh tomato sauce by the Side.
Just a treat for the palate.
The decor is a bit old but very cozy and quaint

Definitely recommended

Service and food were super good. Everyone was very friendly and there was really good food!!!
Fish soup was tip top.
Roulade very fine and Matjes also at its finest. There's nothing to complain about here.
We will definitely come back.

Winter short break

We just wanted to go to Sauerland for a short time to hike a bit in the snow. We were able to do that a little higher in the nearby Winterberg. But it was much quieter in Eslohe.
Although we stayed with 5 people for only one night, family Beckmann has us super hospitable. The rooms are quiet and modern. Dinner was delicious, so we couldn't appreciate the rich breakfast the next morning. We like to come back for hiking at another time of year.

Food Heaven!

What a wonderful dinner we’ve had! The kitchen, service and over all experience are on a very high level. We’ve had a wonderful dinner of outstanding quality. Freshly local sourced produce, perfect presentation and lovely service. The restaurant at “Landhotel Sauerländer Hof” located in the picturesque small town of Wenholthausen is truly exceptional! Congrats to proprietor Walter and his entire team!
