Restaurant at Jonas Richter in Altmann's Stube Erlangen, great service and excellent menu

We stayed with Jonas Richter in Altmann's Stube and it was just outstanding.
The menu was excellent, every course perfectly coordinated and tasted at the highest level. Combined with the great wine accompaniment, it was a culinary experience that you don't often find.
Such a quality, such a finely tuned taste with matching wine accompaniment - we have really rarely experienced this.
An evening that will be remembered.
We would definitely come back!

Rude reception

I called this hotel on Sept 3, 2025 at around 2-3:30pm to reserve a room for a colleague who was scheduled for a business travel to Germany. Since I dont speak German, I asked in english. The reception said "If you want someting from us, Speak in German"! The worst experience from a hotel. He was very rude!!!

Classic hospitality

Another of our stays at this family run hotel. Welcomed by the Altmanns and found our room quite large enough with comfortable beds.An excellent breakfast with real Bircher-Muesli and a full selection on the buffet. Very quiet but central near the botanic gardens that are worth a visit. We hope to return!

Happy discovery

When our original accommodations fell through we were happy to find this very pleasant alternative: if I ever go back to Erlangen I will book here first! The owners offer personal attention, with clean and comfortable rooms and a great breakfast after a quiet night’s sleep.

Great location

Out stay was for an event taking place in the beautiful theatre. The hotel was a two minute walk away. It was quiet, clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly. The restaurant was not open when we were there. Breakfast was continental with lots of choice.
