Check in and check out in one day. Disgusting alarm.

The linen was not clean (blue lint on the sheet) the towels were dirty, the tiles in the shower and bathroom still showed the deposits of excrement. The general condition of the room and house is pretty rocked. It smells musty in the hallways. Fire protection is very small, as fire protection tpren were wedged open. Around 6:00 p.m., garbage bags and bed linen were still lying around the hallways. The reception was quite unfriendly. I didn't feel welcome.

No wonder this hotel is now closed.

We were contacted by phone before our arrival and subsequently received an email with a link to a payment platform. The room was to be paid for before arrival, as no one would be at the reception. The hotel looked closed and run-down upon arrival. There was no staff on site. There was also no breakfast buffet. In the room, there were two vouchers for breakfast at a bakery (a few hundred meters away). We decided against an overnight stay at the house. On the homepage, we then saw that the hotel would permanently close its doors the next day. The 140 euros for a double room with a dirty bathroom were outrageous regardless.

Für Kurzaufenthalt durchaus o.k.

Ich habe dort 2 Nächte verbracht. Der Service ist nicht professionell aber familiär und freundlich. Die Zimmer waren sauber und anscheinend wurde im letzten Jahr jedenfalls teilweise renoviert. Jedenfalls hatte ich weder eine durch gelegene Matratze (im Gegenteil), noch ein altes "Plümo" oder eine alte Duschinstallation; alles frisch, sauber und glänzend. Das Frühstück für € 8,50 geht in Ordnung und wird bis 11:00 Uhr angeboten. Einziges Manko sind tatsächlich die Brötchen. Zimmer sind sauber, mit WLAN, Fernseher und Fön ausgestattet. Der Gastraum verfügt über eine Raucherzone. Keine Sorge der Speiseraum für Nichtraucher befindet sich separat. Alles im allem halte ich einen Preis um die € 60,-- o. Frühstück durchaus für angebracht.

Praktisch zur Eventhalle

Das Hotel ist nicht die Hälfte des Übernachtungspreises wert.
Das Zimmer war mit alten, zerschlissenen Möbeln ausgestattet. Die Matratzen durchgelegen und das Bettzeug bestand aus alten zerklumpten Federbetten.
Das Bad war alt und der Duschkopf hielt nicht an der Stange. Die Handtuchhalter defekt. Im Bad roch es außerdem nach Pommes, sehr unangenehm.
Das Frühstück bestand aus aufgebackenen Brötchen.
Einmal und nie wieder.

Hotel Engelskirchen ist alles andere als empfehlenswert

Einziger Vorteil: Lage zur Eventlocation direkt gegenüber (Gelpestr. 2).
Ansonsten:
Altbackenes Ambiente, sanierungsbedürftig. Bett fällt auseinander, da dilettantisch (selbst?) zusammengebaut (Dübel in einer Ecke passten nicht wirklich in Kopfteil des Bettes, weil die entsprechende Metallschiene dazu - im Gegensatz zu den anderen Bettecken - zu weit von der Brettkante entfernt angebracht ist).
Duschhebel kaum bewegbar - zu verkalkt....
Duschkopf kann nicht eingehängt werden - nicht kompatibel zur Einhängvorrichtung der Duschstange...
Frühstück:
Aufgetürmtes, unabgeräumtes Geschirr auf den Tischen, nicht wirklich vorhandenes/aktives Personal. Geschirr-/Besteckssuche mit Tücken und Glück für uns - für andere weniger...ohne Personal... Kaffee erst auf Nachfrage (nach gefühlten 10 Minuten und Suche nach Personal).
Rührei mit Speck wurde nur für andere (ausgewählte Stammgäste?) Gäste angeboten. Über einen Monat abgelaufene Joghurtbecher. Labberige Aufbackbrötchen. Steinharte (Hammer-) Eier (und ich liebe normalerweise "vernünftig" harte Eier...).
Zumindest war der Kaffee an sich vernünftig....
Überteuerter Preis für mangelhafte Qualität und Leistung.- Das war das letzte Mal, dass ich bereits beim Einchecken bezahlt habe...
