Mega view-great food!
The view of Willibaldsburg Eichstätt is unbeatable. The food was really good. The service could be a bit faster, otherwise I really have to say everything top.

Anytime again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The beautifully situated hotel leaves nothing to be desired. The staff is consistently very friendly and helpful, including the manager. The rooms are great, as is the spa area. The cuisine is especially commendable. The food is fantastic, plentiful, and the plates are lovingly arranged, so it is not just a treat for the palate but also for the eyes. A very big compliment to the chefs. The service is also outstanding. All-around wellness.

Great location, but showing its age
We had a two-day event here. Unfortunately, the water damage was clearly audible in the hallways. Additionally, a new employee scolded me about my electric car: strange.
The hotel seems to have aged a bit. The food was quite okay.

Perfect wellness hotel with friendly staff!
We were there in January 2025 for a family reunion and all treated ourselves to the wellness package: from the fine wellness area to the great food, the really perfect staff to the extensive breakfast buffet everything was very much to our satisfaction!
The rooms are very tastefully decorated and appear clean and well maintained.
The wellness area leaves nothing to be desired and does not look crowded even when fully occupied: Steam sauna, Finnish sauna, two other smaller saunas, infrared cabin, free water/whirlpool fountain, massage area (highly recommended), ample berths in the entire area and an elegantly furnished relaxation room/whispering area are available and those who want can also take advantage of the possibility of rose petal bath with sparkling wine. Also spectacular is the outdoor pool, which seems to go into the sky, with a view of Eichstätt.
The restaurant seems a bit crowded, but the staff is super attentive and friendly, the food is excellent from the selection, to preparation to the quality of the ingredients, the beverage choices are also very good. There are also a number of delicious alcoholic and non-alcoholic cocktails available both in the restaurant, until 11 pm in the lobby and in the wellness area (non-alcoholic). The Schönblick cocktail is recommended here, already due to its unusual composition.
The only real shortcoming was the somewhat unlovingly assembled training area, which offered a number of training equipment, but two equipment, including the bike trainer, were defective or not functioning properly.
On the whole, we were very satisfied and have already booked again for the coming year!

Very disappointing and poor value for money
Unfortunately, the price-performance ratio is absolutely insufficient. The rooms are dated, the style has gone out of fashion and nothing goes together. In the room there was not even a bottle of water, nor any utensils in the bathroom, bath slippers or the like. Also the cleanliness left something to be desired (eg hair in the shower, urine stone in the toilet). Unfortunately, the wellness area does not deserve this name. At lunchtime (when the hotel was fully booked!) only a single sauna was in operation, the other 3 were only started at our request gnashing their teeth. The outdoor pool was much too cold, no bather was seen here. In the wellness area only water was offered, nothing else. What needs to be said in fairness: The food at the hotel was good and the service at dinner friendly, the breakfast was okay. The location is also nice and we slept well. We would not book this hotel anymore and were really disappointed. We are used to different things from a four-star hotel, we have already travelled a lot. The good reviews probably come from earlier ... Brief summary: It seemed like you wanted to save at all costs - at the expense of the guests. Not a good recipe for a hotel ... !

zunächst bedanken wir uns für Ihre Kritik, auch wenn diese durchaus herb ausgefallen ist. Ich darf Ihnen mitteilen, dass es im Oktober einen Wechsel des Pächters gab und damit viele Veränderungen mit einhergingen, die wir zu diesem Zeitpunkt nicht sofort zum Besseren wenden konnten. Ich selbst bin erst seit kurzem im Team und habe die Aufgabe übernommen unsere Gäste auch im Nachgang zu ihrem Besuch zu betreuen. Deshalb auch meine Rückmeldung etwas verspätet.
In unserem Wellness-Bereich haben wir bereits mit umfangreichen Renovierungen begonnen. Dies vor allem im Hinblick auf die Technik, so dass nunmehr alle Einrichtungen wieder funktionieren. Die Temperatur im Außenpool haben wir auch auf unserer To-do Liste. Dafür fehlt uns noch ein Ersatzteil, damit die Außentemperatur korrekt in die elektronische Überwachung des Pools eingegeben werden kann.
Wir haben mittlerweile in unserem Wellnessbereich einen modernen Wasserspender, der hervorragend gefiltertes Wasser bietet. Auch eine Teebar haben wir mittlerweile für unsere Gäste eingerichtet. Der gesamte Ruhebereich ist bereits komplett renoviert und wird von unseren Gästen sehr gelobt. Wir haben auch mit Schulungen für unser Personal begonnen, um die Qualität unseres gesamten Angebots zu verbessern.
Sie sehen also, wir sind in Aufbruchstimmung und freuen uns auf Neues und zufriedene Gäste. Wir bedauern sehr, dass Sie uns in dieser Übergangszeit besucht haben. Vielleicht führen Sie Ihre Wege irgendwann einmal wieder in das schöne Altmühltal. Wir würden uns dann sehr freuen, wenn Sie wieder zu uns kommen und Sie unser Hotel von einer besseren Seite neue entdecken.
