Here you feel comfortable and well cared for

Hotel in a very quiet location in the forest and good connection to the reservoir. There is an excellent relationship with the economy. The rooms are clean, generously equipped and have a reasonable size (bathroom a bit small but still good). For children there is a playground with "wildlife enclosure" rabbits and guinea pigs. The food is excellently cooked by the landlady herself. All staff are extremely accommodating and friendly. We have felt "very comfortable" here. Thanks again.
I cannot confirm the comment that there is no signage (opinion of 5.9)

Short break at the Thuringian Sea

Short break at Hohenwarte Reservoir just for a weekend get out of the everyday hustle and bustle...

Great accommodation

We stayed here for 5 nights and we liked the accommodation well.
Very close to nature directly with access to the reservoir opposite the road.
Room clean, breakfast delicious
Simple but everything you need.

Ein gelungenes Wochenende. Gerne wieder.

Mein Name ist Jürgen Weller und wir haben mit fast gesamter Familie ein verlängertes Wochenende an der Hohen Warte, Lothramühle verbracht. Ich kann mich nur noch einmal bei dem Gastwirtschaftsehepaar Müller für den perfekten Service bedanken. Für die ausgeszeichnete Verpflegung und die Freundlichkeit. Super Bewirtung. Weiterempfelung auf jeden Fall. So etwas findet man nicht oft. Alles Gute weiterhin für die Betreiber.

Schön abgelegen, meistens ruhig

Die Lothramühle ist ein uriger Landgasthof im Wald, der sich bis heute als Sommerfrische bezeichnet.
Wir waren auf einer Radtour dort und bekamen ein schönes großes Zimmer, wo wir gut übernachtet haben. Eigentlich wäre das Hotel sehr ruhig gelegen. Allerdings wurde abends kräftig gefeiert und gesungen. (Nach einer langen Bergetappe durch den Thüringer Wald war uns das aber herzlich egal.)
Die Speisekarte war landestypisch, die Auswahl nicht soo groß, aber schon in Ordnung.
Aufgrund der hügeligen Umgebung scheinen Motorradfahrer gerne in der Lothramühle einzukehren.
