Good hotel in midst of tourist area

There for week. Nice hotel right in the middle of best tourist area. Extremely pleasant staff. Very good breakfast. No doorman, but desk staff will help (one walked us/seniors 2 blocks with luggage to taxi stand as Canaletto festival blocked taxi from reaching hotel). Nice big rooms (we had a corner very light ‘suite’ with a sofa and giant tub). Good shower. Only shortcoming was housekeeping: had to ask for kleenix, toilet paper refills, soap refill, room left dusty and floors not always swept unless asked, sheets only changed once in week. Beds comfy but not luxury comfort. Quiet sunny roof terrace on floor 5 is nice getaway space.

Excellent location, truly in the center of old town, main attractions are within a couple minutes walk. Spacious room, very good breakfast, complimentary mini-bar with some beer and soft drinks helped to quench our thirst during very hot days.

Home sweet home

We always enjoy coming back to this hotel every year. We feel very comfortable, as it is not just a hotel, but by now a little home, and it scores with its amenities (gym, castle bar, executive lounge).

Modern hotel in the middle of the old town of Dresden

The hotel is perfectly located, in the middle of the old town, by the Augustinerbrücke, approx. 15 minutes on foot to the train station and a few minutes' walk to the opera and other sights. The hotel was large, had great service, delicious breakfast and a great view from the upper rooms.
