The arrival is a thing of the past

Great ambiance for the wedding I was a guest at, but unfortunately the organization and service were anything but good. The staff were more occupied with themselves than with the guests. At no point did one get the feeling that there was any commitment or attentiveness. Yes, I received the requested espresso after asking for the third time, which was then unfortunately served. Just one example, but one that seems representative of the overall experience. For the most beautiful day of the bride and groom's life, simply a disappointment that was also noticeable to other guests. If you want to celebrate with a bitter aftertaste, l'Arrivée might be the right location - but who would want that. For me, this place is a thing of the past until I hear good things about it again. Unfortunately, my assessments are being confirmed in many places at the moment.

Great food, abysmal drink service... Waited 30-50 min for drinks.

Decent stay near Dortmund

A family hotel in Dortmund in the middle of greenery.
The hotel is close to the motorway.
Nice and large room.
A very pleasant spa with a swimming pool, jacuzzi, steam room and two saunas.
A very varied breakfast.
Free parking.
The service is quite basic at the restaurant (no desert offered before the kitchen closes, service quite slow and inefficient, very poor level of English which explains this). The food is very good.

Not remotely worth the price

Plant quite okay atmosphere so lala service disaster. We waited in the bar for an hour for a drink.. had a special event, my parents' diamond wedding. We wanted to have a drink after dinner, unfortunately we had to wait 1 hour for our drinks. After multiple inquiries. Staff apparently not enough. But the price for the hotel was definitely more than enough!

Well, plenty of room up.

friendly staff.nice little spa area.had booked 1 superieur room.we were shown 3 rooms.normal rooms,but the bathrooms are no longer contemporary.hand showers in the bath tub !the room we used had 1 mini corner shower with hand shower ,but which was no longer adjustable.these bathrooms are not 4 stars.no bathrobes in the room.after inquiry we got the answer"there are too many stolen"!
just wondering how the standard & comfort rooms are?
