Stylish hotel in an ideal location with minor weaknesses in detail.
We spent one night at the Savoy Hotel in Cologne. The location is very convenient, as the hotel is near the main train station, making the old town and Cologne Cathedral easily accessible. For guests arriving by car, a valet parking service is offered for €30 per 24 hours. While this is convenient, it is rather on the higher price side.
Positive aspects:
Upon entering the hotel, the exceptionally beautiful lobby stands out. The hotel is very stylish, high-quality, and furnished with great attention to detail. We did not use the restaurant, breakfast area, or rooftop bar due to our short stay, but they appeared very appealing in the pictures and impressions.
A true highlight for us were even the lobby restrooms. The women's restrooms were already very uniquely designed, but the aquariums by the sinks and even by the urinals surpassed everything we have seen in a hotel so far.
The rooms also made a very nice, modern, and upscale impression at first glance. Particularly positive features in the double room were the double sink, the many mirrors, and the well-stocked minibar. The sound insulation was also very good. Although our room faced the street, we heard practically nothing except for the air conditioning.
We would also like to mention the staff very positively. The staff were friendly, professional, and at the same time pleasantly relaxed. During check-out, we were even offered free coffee and water, which we found to be very thoughtful.
Negative:
Upon closer inspection, some weaknesses unfortunately became apparent. Certain furniture and fixtures already appear somewhat older. In a colleague's single room, which was overall less appealing than the double room, the shower holder was loose and slightly defective. Additionally, burn holes were visible in various places in the bathroom, suggesting that smoking had occurred there.
Such deficiencies should not actually occur in this price category. Also noted negatively were the many hand and fingerprints on the mirrors. Especially in a hotel with so many reflective surfaces, a more thorough cleaning would have been easily possible.
Conclusion:
Overall, we would recommend the Savoy Hotel Cologne. The location, ambiance, exceptional design, and very good staff clearly speak in favor of the hotel. At the same time, we would wish that the mentioned deficiencies in furnishings and cleaning would be addressed more consistently, as they somewhat detract from the otherwise very high-quality impression.

Not a hotel, a temple of joy.
After an extremely stressful day in Cologne, we unexpectedly had to extend our short trip by one night and spontaneously found a room in almost direct proximity to the Cologne Central Station. From the moment we entered this hotel, we were new people. Thanks to the incredibly warm atmosphere of the house and the good spirits who read every wish from our eyes and discreetly fulfill them, no wishes were left unfulfilled here. It's a pity that we could only stay for one night. On our next visit to Cologne, we will come back and will definitely stay longer then.

Impromptu visit
Such amazing staff , popped in for a roof top drink on my birthday ( which was closed ) but they truly looked after us .. even a surprised birthday brownie so kind. Thank you to the lovely ladies for making the treasured memories of Cologne on my extra special day .
