Neat room in a quiet, central location at a fair price

A small inconspicuous hotel in a fairly quiet street, but right next to the cathedral and various pedestrian zones. Restaurants and shopping as far as the eye can see.
Staff was very friendly and helpful. We could check in on time, the room was clean and chic. Here and there it has some quirks and beauty flaws, but the value for money is very good. Requests were cleared immediately. Thank you again!

Lack of Cleanliness and Inadequate Customer Service

I was very disappointed with my stay at this hotel. The condition of the room left much to be desired: The balcony was littered with garbage, and the room had unsanitary conditions, such as chewed gum on the window sill. In addition, it was not possible to close the tilted window because the handles were locked.
In response to my complaint, the hotel justified these shortcomings with ongoing renovations – which is completely incomprehensible to me. Hygiene and cleanliness should also be taken for granted during a renovation. Instead of offering an adequate solution, I was told that a refund was not possible, as this would allegedly lead to accounting problems – an explanation that is difficult to understand. There was no response to renewed demand, which left the impression that the hotel cares less about the well-being of guests than its own revenues.
Unfortunately, I cannot recommend the hotel based on these experiences.

Perfect

We were very pleased with the hotel. It was clean. The attention of the employees was also very good, we were satisfied. He was very good at his position. This is now the only place I will stay when I visit Germany from now on. We recommend it to everyone.

A really great small hotel

This is a beautifully styled small hotel with an impressing kind service. The rooms are absolutely clean and the beds comfortable. The hotel is centrally situated, yet the area calm at night. Owner-run.

Central location unusual vibe

When is a hotel not a hotel? Yes we had a room with a bed and a bathroom but that’s about where the hotel description ended. The whole
place just felt a bit odd - like it had just been put together. None of the usual things you would expect to find in a hotel - like brochures, fire escape map on the back of the door, no room
numbers on the doors, no door chain on the inside of the door. Rooms are not very soundproof. No elevator (not that uncommon in Europe). There is no kettle or facility to make tea or coffee in the room or a fridge to keep things cold. You have to go to the foyer to use the machine there and we were able to store our food in the owners fridge. The rooms are very sparsely furnished. The bathroom is new and nice but there were no power outlets for hair drying or shaving. Towels are very small and thin. It is very centrally located and perfect for walking to all the Christmas Markets which was the purpose of our visit. The two guys who seem to run the place are friendly and helpful.
