Modern well maintained accommodation in a prime location with good value for money

Price-performance best: newly renovated, modern furnished room with balcony, good bed and dishwasher; central location both for arrival by car (large free parking) and by train (train station within walking distance a few minutes) from which the old town and the Moselle can be reached quickly; check-in by key safe child's play and stress-free; all super clean and well maintained in beautiful Moselle house

Pure rip-off

No microwave & pan , freezer compartment totally iced with contents v. previous tenant, therefore unusable,
Cabinets musty, coffee machine totally dirty, kettle and pots calcified, view from the bedroom window of a modern scrap mountain.
All rocked, bald and loveless. Camping chair pad as curtain replacement at the front door. For over 112 € per day a rip-off without equal.
Terrace and the f. disabled people tedious staircase unkempt as everything about this house.
The landlady, Mrs. Stein, is reasonable. But if you talk yourself out with flimsy excuses:
Brother passed away, but already 2 years ago!!!!! Personalmangel, etc.
It was not prepared to adjust prices due to the abuses.
Here, instead of investing, only cash in!
NEVER again.

Very nice guesthouse - always happy to come back!

Beautiful apartment with balcony, free parking for cars, central, very clean and comfortably furnished.
Check-in and check-out went smoothly using a key safe with a phone call upon arrival.
We can also highly recommend the associated restaurant "Winzerscheune" in Valwig, 3 km away. Very good regional cuisine and a great beer garden in the courtyard. There are also free parking spaces and bicycle parking spaces available there. Unlike in the rather busy Cochem, you can enjoy the peace and quiet of the picturesque Moselle valley there. We cycled to Valwig a few times on the cycle path along the water.
We would love to come back when we travel to the Moselle again!

Basic, but good value in a great location.

Stayed here in 2017 and again in Aug 2018. It is now our 'go to' accommodation in Cochem (been going on and off for over 40 years). Ideal for our needs, we take an apartment and each one has had a balcony overlooking the road and bus station, great to people watch while having a glass of wine or beer. Modern it's not, but the space and freedom it gives us along with the price makes it a better option than B&B. Included parking place also helps to keep the cost of a stay in Cochem more sensible. Clean and with plenty of kitchen stuff if needed, just the toaster and kettle for us, and of course a full sized fridge. Gold plated taps it doesn't have, but the shower room is more than adequate and the beds comfy.

Great Stay

Right in the centre of Cochem is this clean and functional B&B. We drove to Cochem and one of the reasons we stayed here was there was free parking available. You get exactly what you pay for, 'bed and breakfast.' The rooms are relatively cheap, as well as being very clean and functional. The breakfast is a perfectly acceptable continental style.
There is a good selection of wines that are available in the bar downstairs which is also a great place to 'people watch.'
If you are someone who needs all the whistles and bells from a hotel i.e. Wifi, room service etc then I suggest you try elsewhere. If you want an excellent B&B without the fuss then stay here. If we ever visit Cochem again, this will be the first place we look for somewhere to stay.
