Okay for a short stay

Okay for a short stay
We were here for two nights in the summer. Overall the hotel is okay, however the rooms and the furnishings have visibly aged and partly appear a bit worn.
Especially in the summer, the lack of air conditioning was a clear minus point for us. Our room faced the street, so sleeping with the window open was difficult due to the noise level. If possible, we would therefore recommend a room on the quieter inner side.
The breakfast buffet is solid and offers the typical classics: Egg dishes, cold cuts, rolls, coffee, juices, etc. For a hotel breakfast completely fine, but here too the overall impression is rather simple.
For two nights basically okay, but overall the hotel could use a modernization.

Hotel with the charm of the 70s

Hotel with the charm of the 70s. Room sufficiently large but unfortunately NO air conditioning (we had up to 29 degrees outside temperature)! The mattress was too soft for me. The air vent in the bathroom is likely to have been defective - with a corresponding effect. The doors jammed, so the closing was very noisy! The seating at breakfast on Saturday was too tight, on Sunday it was better. The breakfast was very good. The food in the hotel's restaurant was also very good!

No service

Unfortunately, the 4 stars cannot be confirmed here. Reception is almost never to be seen welcome is hidden in place. What can not really give is the closed on Saturday evening restaurant and bar isr. On Friday we ate there. The waiter was very nice. But unfortunately the food was not good. The choice was also very small. There is no topic of security in this hotel. Jer can enter the entire hotel and all floors day and night without a room card. I've never experienced anything like this. Breakfast was good but there was not a single service person. It's a shame there's a lot of things wrong here. The price is therefore too high for zero service.

Lovely hotel!

Stayed for a few weeks. Great stay. Clean hotel with great service. Delicious breakfast, with lots of variety. Location is excellent with a nice walk to the castle and old town. Also right next to multiple restaurants and shops on the main road.
