An unforgettable lunch at the Ritter restaurant in Büchenau

On November 24, 2024, I enjoyed the Martinsgans in the Ritter restaurant – a braised goose leg with glazed chestnuts, two types of dumplings and red cabbage. The goose leg was tender and juicy, the red cabbage wonderfully aromatic. However, I was particularly impressed by the dumplings – the best I have ever eaten!
A big praise to the chef for these perfectly matched flavors and to the service that was attentive and friendly. I can only highly recommend the restaurant Ritter and am already looking forward to my next visit.

Mediocre but still ok

The hotel dates from the 80s, 90s and is therefore difficult to age. It is centrally located, the rooms are partly a bit spoiled but clean, the bathroom is small but acceptably clean. Price/performance is not reasonable, 95 euros for a night from Wednesday to Thursday in this place is usury.

Wonderful Overnight in Bruchsal

We had the opportunity to spend the night in the Residenz/Hotel and also to eat at the adjacent Restaurant. The restaurant was really good - food was excellent, great ambiance and friendly attentive servers . Reasonable price point .
The Hotel/Residenz was super . Yvonne , the reception , was really helpful , very bright and cheerful and made us feel at ease after a long hard day of bicycling. Secure indoor bike storage. Elevator for upper floors . Our room , #255 was an actual suite with great views , plus a wonderful bathroom with an amazing tub . Very comfortable bed and everything was clean and bright .

Watch out. Rooms at the second floor under the ceiling are extremely hot. No Airco.

I spent 3 nights at this place. It was in early july The room I had at the second floor did heat up so much that I could hardly get some sleep . Even with the window wide open, the room didn't cool down. Also they charge you a so called "business fee" which I took the first night that includes WiFi, a parking lot and breakfast. I got the breakfast which was average but the parking lot of the hotel was full. I complained but they just said it's not their fault. Maybe in the winter it is a reasonable option but in the summer without air conditioning I will stay away from this place in the future.

Ambience so perfect!

I arrived at the restaurant with the hope that I can take the two back to back conference calls I had starting at 7pm. I asked the waitress if I can have a quieter area. She said every where in the restaurant is noisy. The I formed her of my plight - I need to hold a conference call in a quiet area. She told to me go to another building two minutes walk down the same road.
I was met by a bar attendant, then I told him that I want a quiet area. He told me I can use any table - the place was truly quiet. I order fried beef with this special potatoes and grilled veggies. The food was absolutely on point. I will certivisit again if the opportunity arises.
