cute family hotel for a few nights

Small family hotel, but very pleasant and comfortable. The staff was great helpful and smiling. Tasty and deluxe rich breakfast. Comfortable rooms with a large terrace. Room thoroughly cleaned. The bathroom with bathtub and bath salts. Wifi worked perfectly.

Basic option for not too fussy people

I stayed here for one night in December during the Christkindlmarkt period, as this was one of the cheapest options available. The hotel is easily reachable with the tram from the city centre in about 15 minutes. It is effectively a whole British-style house with three ramps of stairs, with shared bathrooms at every storey and with some rooms with private en-suites. Overall the building is well kept and clean.
The rate includes continental breakfast served on the ground floor, which was pretty generous considering the overall price.
The owner is polite and well-mannered and you may find helpful brochures at the entrance, as well.
It is a good bargain in relation to the dearer options available in the city, as long as you are not too fuss about details and you are willing to share the toilet.

Familiar basic hotel

almost like a normal House, only a view Rooms, each different. Not extremely
modern but good to stay. We have been there with 2 Kids. Breakfast good, friendly host.
Very close to the Weser (River) and also to Down Town, just some Minutes by Train.

A bit different

Hotel Weser Rose is a bit different, when we arrived, nobody was there to welcome us, we had to phone a mobile number and then got the code for a safe next to the door to get the key. The room was very spacious, with a large bathroom adjoint and a balcony to the garden side. The room was very quiet, even if the street on the front side is very busy. No problem to find a space for the car on the roadside. Public transport is only a five minute walk away and after 15 minutes you are downtown. (We left the tram just by chance three or four stations before we reached the city and found a very scenic quarter of Bremen, called the Viertel. Lots of pubs, bars, restaurants and shops of all kind) The breakfast is wonderful, the service is excellent. It's a bit like home from home, you are asked what kind of jam you like, how you like your egg cooked etc. If you think some hotels are too big, too anonymous, you will love Weser Rose and its people.

Good website but the reality was not our cup of tea

Well I am writing this review in English but to let you know we are a German -American Couple.
Lets start with our impression and experience:
Website great pics-reality not so much
We called to get direction and where then advised that our Keys would be in the safe outside(come again i thought this was a Hotel?), but truth to be told there was no one to welcome us there also had not been any mention in emails prior of a specific check in time or that the have the custom of leaving the keys outside. Oh and there is a strip of public parking right outside on the main street, if its full like when there is a event at the station good luck.
No guide books no information on local area, public transport the usually that we would expect in a hotel
Our room was big, freezing cold ,paint peeling of numerous places
Bed was for us extremely hard
Pillows very thin and when i tried to get the extra pillow from the closet, well it was so full of stains-PS We know we should have just left right then and there but we where tired lesson learned for next time- i was very afraid how the one looks that we where laying on( checked the next morning gross the where also stained)
The Internet is a plus because its free and the shower is good and hot
The next morning we woke up frozen, the heat was off the room was a ice cube, when i went outside the mgr had come to work ( oh right No one sleeps in the house from the staff) and noticed it also she was calling the emergency service. I overheard him telling her that nothing was broken they just had run out of Oil!!!!!!
Breakfast was nice nice little touches, Mgr very friendly
But I would have expected that the would have given the guest a credit for sleeping with no Heat when it was cold outside and well inside but nothing
I did talk to the mgr about this issues including that the might want to buy New Pillows. She honestly did not have much to say
We paid and left
