Nice local hotel

Stayed one night in this hotel. Traditional bavarian style, cosy, clean and welcoming. Great breakfast, very relaxed staff at check-in. Location is kind of central. Anyway in Bodenmais there are no far places :) Some drawbacks: no hairdryer in the room, reception is closed in the morning until 8am.

No recommendation

The hotel is getting old. Ownership has changed. At this time, the hotel is not recommended.
Beds broken, mattresses read through, in the rooms it is cold especially in the bathroom. Aschaffenbecher voll is still standing from the previous tenants on the balcony. Breakfast very poor and not appropriate in this day and age.
We hope the new owner gets the hotel under control, because it could be a gem.

We would go there again

The location of the hotel is good, you are in a few minutes in the shopping street . Our room was not very spacious but very clean. The wet cell was very small. The safe was at the bottom of the cabinet, kneeling only. Breakfast very plentiful. The supervisor is in charge of everything, reception, breakfast, laundry sometimes he was a bit overwhelmed. We felt very comfortable

Gelungener Einstand zu Ferienbeginn

Zu Beginn der 14-tägigen Ferien in Bodenmais war unsere erste Einkehr im Bayerischen Hof recht gelungen.
Meine Frau hatte einen Jungschweinebraten mit Knödel und Sauerkraut, nur eine Scheibe, aber recht gut zubereitet Note 2-3,
für mich war es ein Rindergulasch mit Böhmischen Knödel, Portion zwar nicht besonders groß, aber recht schmackhaft und gut zubereitet mit schmackhafter Soße, Note 1-2, dazu ein dunkles Klosterbier...hat gemundet.
Der Service war sehr aufmerksam und
rundum gut. Zum Abschluß wurde uns noch ein kostenloser Slivowitz kredenzt.
Eine freundliche und sehr nette Geste.

Preis Leistung ok

Zentrale Lage - etwas in die Jahre gekommen.
Zimmer war ok -sauber.
Abendbrot so reichlich,das man es gar nicht schaft.
Frühstück ok.
Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen und Glas kaufen ok.
Sehr freundlicher Chef.
