Top city hotel

I spent a night here and would book the hotel again anytime.
The hotel is located directly at Potsdamer Platz, yet still on a quiet street; it could hardly be more central.
The staff was always very friendly, but could be better trained regarding special rates. I had booked a rate that I can only use with proof of eligibility - the gentleman at the reception was not familiar with this and did not want to see my ID even when I asked. It's a pity, as this has usually earned me an upgrade in other Marriott hotels.
However, I do not want to complain too much, as the regular rooms are also very nice. Very spacious, with plenty of storage and seating. The bed is very comfortable and everything is very clean. There is a lot of light from the large windows.
The bathroom is also well-equipped; I particularly liked that there was a proper hairdryer and not a small, cheap one, as is often the case in other hotels.
What bothered me a bit were just minor issues:
There were many lamps, but the light switches only allowed them to be turned on or off all at once, not individually. The night light in the bathroom was on the whole time. In itself, this is of course a good thing if one needs to go to the bathroom at night, but in my opinion, a motion sensor would have been nicer, as some light shone under the door all the time.
The elevators sometimes take a while - although there are four of them, three often just stay put when you want to go down, and the fourth first passes the floor before stopping there later.

My favorite hotel in Berlin!

Whenever my corporate rate is available, I choose to stay here.
The staff is always friendly, professional, and accommodating—especially Felix, Samir, Semih, Tania, and Inkaram (I hope I spelled the names correctly). They genuinely make me feel welcome and provide great service, from early check-in to late check-out if available.
The rooms are clean, well-maintained, and comfortable. The location is perfect for my needs.

Marriott Berlin 5 stars

We stayed at the Marriott in Berlin from December 18-21. July. Two adults and two children of 10 and 6 years old. Everything works just at that hotel. They are quick at arrival, quick service at check-in, help with suitcases, quick service for car parking etc. Nice family room, good cleaning, delicious breakfast buffet with a large selection. Here you can get made several different dishes with eggs as well. Nice bar area with good drinks, nice service. One of the evenings we ate at their own restaurant Midtown grill, which is a steak house. It was at the level of MASH in Denmark. Clearly worth a visit.

If we return to Berlin in the future, we will repeat.

It was our first experience in Berlin and, from our arrival, the treatment was excellent, both from the reception staff and the restaurant staff.
Hotel very well located, very close to the Brandenburg Gate, the Bundestag, and the Tiergarten, with easy access to public transport at Potsdamer Platz or by walking along Unter den Linden. Of course, its unbeatable location made our stay more pleasant.
The only drawback was the scarcity of gluten-free and lactose-free food, which we had to keep in mind.
Otherwise, great hotel.
If we return to Berlin in the future, we will repeat.

Our fabulous stay

The Hotel is situated on Potsdamer Platz which has very good transport connections, but is also conveniently placed for sightseeing on foot - the Brandenburg Gate is just a short walk away. On arrival at the hotel, my wife and I were checked in quickly and efficiently by the friendly Receptionist. As we were shown to the lift to access our room on the ninth floor (of ten), we passed through the stunning atrium which gives the hotel a light and spacious feeling.. Our room was very well appointed and had beautiful lighting. The room was quiet and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was also furnished well and had an excellent rain shower. As we had booked a Club Room, this granted us access to the Executive Lounge on the tenth floor with its fabulous views of Berlin, including the famous Berlin TV Tower. Here we were treated each morning to a variety of hot and cold breakfast offerings to suit every taste. The Lounge remained accessible throughout the day, during which time tea, coffee, soft drinks and simple snacks were available. From 5.30 pm, hot and cold food was served together with wine or beer if desired. We were looked after very well indeed by the lounge host, Michael Burkhardt, who was always friendly and helpful. He paid great attention to detail, whether it was clearing away plates, replenishing food items or keeping everything in the Lounge spotlessly clean. Michael is a tremendous asset to this Hotel - thank you so much for what you did for us. Based on our experience this year, we are keen to return to the Berlin Marriott Hotel in the near future and would certainly recommend it.
