Good hotel above Bergneustadt

The Phoenix Hotel is structural and certainly not up to date in terms of facilities, yet everything is clean and in order. We were greeted very friendly, the rooms are sufficiently large and mostly quiet. We liked the small spa and sauna area, the use as well as bathrobes and sufficient towels were included in the price. The outdoor terrace offers a great view over Bergneustadt and invites you to linger. We were on the road with our e-bikes, which we could easily park and recharge in the bike room.
The breakfast buffet is rich and offers something for everyone, the rolls are from the local baker. Even the dinner at the hotel tasted good - we could help ourselves to a buffet. The staff is very attentive, helpful and friendly. Overall, there is a pleasantly relaxed atmosphere in the hotel. We really enjoyed the weekend stay at the Phoenix Hotel, a clear Recommendation. The price-performance ratio was very good in our case as we were able to use an arrangement of Animod.

The location is not everything, not a hotel for feeling comfortable.

Nice view, everything else unfortunately does not rise above mediocrity. Room: rather small, cleanliness with clearly visible flaws, spiders, traces of cream on the vanity mirror from various predecessors. The mattress unfortunately too soft.
The breakfast was rather mediocre, uninspired, and meager. Staff were more eager than friendly. Few people leave here with a smile.

The bed was very uncomfortable asnit was 2 single beds pushed together and the bed kept seperating - i had booked a double room so this wasnt good as we didnt sleep well

Poor attention to guests

Arriving at the hotel and finding the room frozen as they had not turned on the heating says so much about the professionalism of the hotel management. The ugly, small room with a view of the car wheels in the parking lot. Breakfast is poor and dishes dirty. In my room there were no slippers: I asked for them but they did not bring them. A 4-star hotel that actually demonstrates 2. Not worth the price

good hotel, great pool and sauna

Located in the north of Bergneustadt and makes a fairly modern impression. It is located on a busy road, most rooms have a "quiet location". The room and bathroom were spacious and made a very neat impression. The pool and sauna are in a modern and clean condition with views of the mountains (pool), relaxation areas and locker rooms. The breakfast was varied and good (no bakery rolls :-)). Evening menus in the restaurant are recommended. The Wi-Fi reception was good. There is a small bicycle storage room, but no more than 4-5 wheels can fit in here. Parking is plentiful and free. We will definitely stay there again.
