Beautiful hotel with flair right in the UNESCO center

A beautiful palace that has been renovated quite carefully. The location is super central, a little 50 from the sandy alley, almost directly at the intersection of tiled stove / Ambräusianum - it almost doesn't get more central. You can see the traces of time, but everything comes across very authentically with a flair to match the UNESCO city. Parking is also available - our vehicle even parked. more central than we lived. The Service was good, the breakfast very good. Overall, a very good choice for our Bamberg visit this year.

Hotel with flair - wonderfully perfect imperfect

Great location, huge rooms, big bed with great mattress.
A rich breakfast, with everything your heart desires.

Totally disorganized

Totally disorganized.
Arrived with 5 couples
We wanted to check in at the hotel, which was not possible because there was a cancellation.
This has not been done by us at all.
However, the hotel could not prove where these
Cancellation came.
Had to divert to a hotel 20km away. We organized ourselves, we got little support from the hotel.

Unclean

We were disappointed by the cleanliness. In the inner courtyard there are ashtrays filled with cigarette butts over the course of every day and it took 2 days for a crumpled tissue to be removed from the table. On the window sills are dried flowers. There is no mention of a romantic courtyard - as advertised.
Overall, the hotel leaves a careless and dirty impression. Even in an old building it may be clean. In the showers there are no shelves, but the breakfast was neat and adequate. In the venerable breakfast room, the parquet with the magnificent ornaments could be sanded down and resealed.
Our conclusion: Not recommended !
Alternatives: Scheiners Hotel or Alt-Ringlein are both only 70 metres away.

Cafe in courtyard - never again!

Visited the cafe in the courtyard on Saturday (2people)!
The mango cake went back - coffee glass with spoon very dirty!
I had to come to the counter for card payment - counter very dirty, the staff is wearing long, open hair!
Never again...
