Very good family room

Family of four, stayed in a family room consisting of two rooms in their own hallway.
Modern and well cleaned rooms for a low price.
The restaurant was quite busy on a Saturday evening, served mostly Italian food, incl large variety of pasta and pizza.

87th Birthday of my mom

I were staying with my son in a beautiful room ( 107 ). We could enjoy a friendly service and a beautiful ambience for a small birthday party that we could organise for my mother who was celebrating her 87th Birthday. Despite of COVID-19 the hotel team helped us to make it happen and unforgettable . We have enjoyed the good kitchen ( menu ) and sevrvice in a well maintained a good atmosphere . Thank you !

Good food but impolite staff

I regularly go to Bad Klosterlausnitz for the wonderful physical rehab clinic there (Moritz Klinik) and have been to In Piazza several times to enjoy a meal with friends. While the regular servers are very nice, and the food is awesome (especially the pasta), the owner of the restaurant is extremely impolite and presumptuous.
She has been that way to my friends and I, and various other customers almost every time we dined there. On the last ocassion - we stopped going there after this incident; no pasta is that good that it's worth getting humiliated for - one of my friends felt sick shortly before joining us for dinner, so we arrived at the restaurant two people short. In total, we were 7 instead of 9. While claiming our reserved table, the owner very rudely admonished us for not having called to announce that we will be fewer in number.
Mind you, apart from us seven and an elderly couple, the venue was EMPTY and stayed that way all through the two hours we were there. She kept at it, badgering my friends, acting up and ironizing us for a long while. We stayed because we were hungry and it being a small resort, everything else was closed. Plus, we all have various physical issues and it is sometimes hard or painful to change places.
Every previous time we were there we tipped handsomely and we had no issues with the other servers, who are kind. However, she has always been very unwelcoming and arrogant either to us or other clients.
Too bad the food is great. The owner should clean up her act if she wants to keep her customers. Go there confidently for the pizza and pasta and make sure to ask for any other server than the owner. She is a tall woman, with long black hair.

Great home from home

I stayed at the In Piazza Hotel for 2 weeks in total whilst on business in the area. The village is very pretty and quiet, very close to the A4 and A9 and has a lovely little thermal spa (I sadly only managed to see it from the outside, but it has a good reputation). The restaurant serves breakfast each day with a small buffet of cold meats (excellent quality), cheeses, jams, fruit and a selection of yoghurts as well as fresh German bread and a selection of juices. I have not head lunch at the restaurant but dinner each night, bar Mondays, when the restaurant is closed. The selection of dishes is large, which means there is something for everyone. The pasta dishes are excellent, with large portions, and the steaks are stunning. The wine list is also very comprehensive.
Staff from the owners to the cleaners were super friendly.
The rooms are well appointed with large, very comfortable beds and desks and enough hanging space for 2 weeks worth of clothes. The bathrooms are brand new and the showers have great water pressure. There are no fiddly little shampoo bottles, but rather dispensers with a nice smelling soap and shampoo which I prefer. The hairdryer is basic, so if you need to blow dry your hair properly, bring your own.
Wifi is not bad, especially considering the rural area and the fact that it's free. I got about 5Mbps, which was sufficient for VoIP and video calls.
Considering this is a 3-star hotel, it really delivers above and beyond and I will certainly come back soon to enjoy the nearby Spa and more of Signor Stora's excellent cooking.
