Amazing
This place is amazing. It was my friend’s wedding venue. I was amazed by the mesmerizing view of the hotel as it is located literally on top of the mountain. They have their own winery and were absolutely good and affordable. We spent 2 nights with my family and friend and had a blast before and on the wedding day. Their staff were very friendly and accommodating. I really wish to come back and spend a little more time there. Special mention to georgie and aku for being so nice.

Not recommended
I wouldn't recommend this hotel for a stay.
It has a great location and a beautiful Alazani Valley view. That's all about it.
During your stay at the hotel, you might face the following:
- Absolutely unfriendly staff (you'll notice this immediately upon arrival at reception);
- The hotel itself is in poor condition: the air conditioning in the room wasn't working, having mosquitoes outside you'll have to suffer from the heat;
- There's no direct access to hot water, so you'll have to wait for it to heat up;
- The pool sun-beds are rusty, some are even broken (I've attached a photo);
- The pool is dirty, nearby bar doesn’t accept cash under any circumstances; you must have a card to order drinks and desserts;
- The prices on the restaurant menu may not be up to date; it's best to check them against the prices on your receipt when paying;
- The waiters are very slow in serving you (we asked a couple of times for drinks to be brought immediately, but our requests were ignored); food takes a long time to prepare, considering the hotel wasn't even half full;
- When cleaning your room, there might not be any new towels to replace it; they'll just take and fold your previously used ones;
- The hotel has no soundproofing, and no one enforces noise. During our stay, the owner's daughter and her friends were staying at the hotel as well; after 11:00 PM, we were listening to all the musical trend hits.
As a bonus, you might see the owner lounging with his feet up on the dining table (didn’t have a chance to shoot this masterpiece);
The hotel manager (it seems her name was V**a) tried to solve some of the conflicts regarding restaurant service, wrong menu prices, etc., by presenting us a wine bottle, but less than a day later, slow service returned to our vacation.
There are serious questions regarding food, too, but as an Englishmen say: tastes differ.
The hotel is absolutely not worth the money.

Lovely location
On the positive side - lovely location, great view, really beautiful grounds, nice pool, brilliant winery, good breakfast selection.
On the negative side, the “9.00 start” breakfast wasn’t fully laid out until 9.25, the only coffee options were Espresso and Americano, the “singers” in the cabaret were shockingly, abysmally out of tune and the aggressive little guy on reception who would not accept our word that we hadn’t taken anything from the mini bar until he sent a maid to check completely spoiled the feel of the place. Being treated like a probable liar and thief when you are checking out of a hotel is not a pleasant experience and felt more like a cheap hostel than a luxury resort.

Very Disappointing
The rooms are very small - not sure what room is pictured in their advertisement. The air conditioning did not work in any of the rooms. Our original room looked into the forest, and we asked if there would be a bug problem if we opened the balcony door for cooler air, they confirmed there would be a problem. We asked for a room change to the other side of the hotel, which was granted. The bathroom in the new room smelled badly. We slept with the balcony door open for cool air and were kept awake by dogs barking throughout the night. The breakfast was not a buffet, but various foods were brought on small plates without asking what we'd like - we ate very little. We booked for two nights but left after only one night. The high point is that the dinner and wine offerings were good.

Heavenly
Ampler was absolutely gorgeous. From the spacious room, the breathtaking views, and gorgeous pool to the delicious Georgian cuisine and fantastic wine, it was an absolute pleasure.
Our room was super comfortable, with a lovely bathtub, a huge balcony, and all of the modern conveniences.
