Lovely and welcoming stay

As a family of four, we were looking for a stop-over on our way from Calais to the Dordogne. This Chambre d'hote was ideally situated about an hour from Calais, close to the motorway junction but in a lovely rural location.
The owner was very welcoming and the accommodation beautifully presented and immaculately clean. We had a suite to ourselves - very quiet and peaceful, with two bedrooms and bathroom facilities. We arrived late but the owner helped us find a meal at a lovely restaurant in a local village. We enjoyed the continental breakfast prepared for us the next morning and said a farewell to the owners who had made us feel so at home in their lovely house.
We would definitely visit again if travelling a similar route through France.

Avoid if you want friendly people

Excruciating welcome (when we spent 3 nights), intrusive hosts (demanding that we do not stay too long at the restaurant so that they can hand over the keys before 10.30pm when an autonomous arrival is the base) and inconsistent (the messages given by one were totally different from those given by the spouse).

Lovely relaxing stay

We stayed at La Bulle over the Easter period. It was in a very convenient location, just off the A16.
We stayed in the Jacobeam suite which was really spacious for 4 of us. Each room had its own basin as well as a huge bathroom. The rooms were very clean and our towels were changed after 2 days. The breakfast was continental and there was plenty to eat. We loved the French bread and croissants!! The owners were very accomodating and really nice people. We enjoyed our breakfast chats. There is ample parking and its really easy to get around from there. We were blessed with beautiful weather while we were there so that made our stay even better! There is a facility to make tea/coffee or put things in the fridge and even reheat things but its downstairs where you have your breakfast. The owners did recommend a restaurant so dont hesitate to ask! It is in a really beautiful setting and its lovely and quiet. We had a lovely stay. Thank you.

Lovely Stay

We had Spanish friends staying with us in the UK and took them to France for the weekend. I booked La Bulle after reading comments on TA. We were very pleased with the clean, comfortable accommodation. The house in a beautiful garden.
We had an enjoyable continental style breakfast included in the reasonable price. Hope to return as we often visit this part of France.

Lovely B&B

We stayed overnight at La Bulle - it is very conveniently situated near the autoroute in a small village. It is a lovely setting and very quiet - so much nicer than an impersonal chain hotel. The owners are lovely, very friendly and welcoming. We stayed in the Magnum room which is small but plenty of space for a couple for one night. Very comfortable and spotlessly clean. A filling continental breakfast is included. Highly recommended as a great value B&B.
