Sublime

If you're visiting Saumur and its region, then La Seignère is THE PLACE to stay. Henri and his lovely wife will make you feel home. The Chateau is calm and has been very well refurbished recently (modern equipments with a lot of taste). We stayed 3 nights and the only background noise we heard was the birds. The rooms are quiet and the bed (room les Coteaux) was comfortable. The breakfast is varied with fresh bread, croissants, french jam, fresh fruits, etc. The Chateau has a private free parking and the heated swimming pool was clean and well maintained. No doubt, if we go back to the region, then we will stay at La Seignère!

Superb attention to detail

Way surpassed expectations, gorgeous room, lovely breakfast, charming host. Very good value. We have stayed at some amazing place but our room here was among the best. Deluxe family room is very chic and roomy for a family of 4

Best Inn of our trip in Loire Valley

We were visiting Saumur and wanted a place close to but not immediately in the city. We found La Seignere on Bookings.com and decided to give it a try. It looked - and was - a beautiful property. We spent three days here and enjoyed every minute we were in the Inn. It was elegant, clean, comfortable (we could use a lovely salon/library, and tea/coffee were always available). Alas, for us the weather did not cooperate for use of the swimming pool but the grounds are beautiful and well-kept. Our hosts were friendly and helpful, providing recommendations for sites to visit and restaurant recommendations. Parking is available on the property. Breakfast was ample and delicious, with fresh fruits, array of breads and jams, yoghurt (and even pancotta some mornings!). We highly recommend La Seignere and will happily return. One of the best inns we stayed in during our 2 1/2 weeks in the Loire valley.

A wonderful place to stay

We spent a night here whilst cycling in the Loire. It was a wonderful place to stay and we wished we could have stayed longer. An absolutely beautiful place with charming and helpful owners. Our room was exquisitely decorated and was very clean. The bathroom with double shower was fantastic. We slept so well. The pool was clean and I really enjoyed a refreshing swim after a long day's cycling in the heat. Breakfast was great. There was a good storage place for our bicycles. Unfortunately the only nearby restaurant was closed so we had to go into Saumur for dinner. Would highly recommend this place.

Stylish, quiet chateau with amazing hosts

Wonderful chateau that has been completely revamped for comfort. Spectacularly friendly hosts. Great breakfast: fresh bread, pastries, jams, cereal, cakes, ....
Very stylish throughput; large rooms (up a couple of flights of stairs); very quiet.
Definitely the nicest place we stayed during our week-long Loire valley trip.
The location is a few km outside Saumur, but we were expecting that.
