At the heart of Norman History and Hospitality

The hotel is literally across the train station at the heart of Rouen. It’s surrounded by great restaurants and à supermarket. Everything you need to have a restful stay in this wonderful city. Hotel Astrid is about three blocks away from the highlights of Rouen, from the Horloge, the Cathedral, the Old Market, and great museums.
While the hotel rooms are small, it retains the charm of provincial French hospitality and very affordable and clean. The staff are friendly and fluent in different languages especially English.

Very dirty sheets holes not washer torn p

Filthy filthy to avoid no hot water dirty room cleaning not made chips unhealthy atmosphere. No services. Towels torn rooms small. Sanitary dirty toilets not cleaned of fleas and bed bugs .sheets with holes in traces of cigarettes

An absolute shame and horror, no towel at 6 p.m. upon my arrival then at 11 p.m., questionable room in terms of cleanliness, the corridors serve as meeting rooms for sketchy people, no breakfast, since then I have been going elsewhere to escape

Hotel to avoid

A hotel that does not even deserve the 2-star rating: no breakfast, no heating or hot water, sheets with holes from cigarettes despite the “non-smoking” label, toilet seat placed on the side, questionable cleanliness .

The most unprofessional place I’ve ever stayed at

I don't even know where to start. The conditions of this place are despicable and I wonder how it's still running.
The smell of cigarettes and cheap cleaning products stand out on every floor. There was no one at reception to receive us, so we had to call a phone number to notify we arrived; the gentleman came out in tracksuits to serve us and didn't speak English, which fair enough I guess? The elevator was extremely small, dark and was written/marked all over, almost like a nightclub toilet.
The actual bedroom was extremely poor. The table was broken, there was mould on the bed and in the closet, the toilet door didn't close, the shower floor was yellow and rusty, there was no toilet paper as the holder was broken, dust/spider webs everywhere, the wifi didn't work and we could hear every noise/conversation/music/screams! from the nearby bedrooms. The smell was so strong we had to sleep with the windows opened - as this is located in front of the train station you can imagine we had a pretty noisy night.
This stay was uncomfortable and sketchy throughout. We left the next morning and there was no one at reception (again) to check us out. We phoned the same number and the sleepy voice on the call told us to leave the keys in a box... there was no one to complain to or assist us! I wouldn't recommend anyone staying here.
