So charming!

This hotel is so charming! We stayed here to ski in the Portes du Soleil area. The staff at the hotel and restaurant could not have been more kind. It's in a great location right on the Tourism Office / Carousel square.
The food was a highlight everyday ;-). Half-board includes a plentiful breakfast, with a choice of 3 items from the kitchen (a daily special, omelet, or egg), and a buffet with scrambled eggs, bacon, hams/charcuterie, beans, pastries, breads, cereal, jams, honey, yogurts, cheese, coffee/cappuccino, tea, juices, and fruit. Dinner was top notch. I cannot emphasize enough just how delicious and beautifully presented were the dinners here. There was soup, appetizer, entree, cheese buffet and dessert daily (except Tuesdays, which is a day with the typical Savoyard raclette, cheese, charcuterie, potatoes and a dessert). Our daughter does not eat land mammals. Most of the dishes were poultry, vegetables, and fish/seafood and the kitchen accommodated her preference when it wasn't. We mentioned it once upon arrival and they prepared chicken or salmon instead of the beef / veal that was the menu during a few of the days. On the Savoyard raclette day, they prepared vegetable crudites instead of the charcuterie. We really appreciated this accommodation. The staff working in the dining room were very kind and helpful. The wine menu was thoughtful and reasonably priced and offered many great local options from Haute Savoie. And that cheese buffet, oh my!
We stayed in a Chambre Familiale (Family Room). This room has a double with a single room (with a door). It was perfect for our 18-year old daughter to have her own private nook, but be located within our room. It also has spacious balcony. The room had external shutters that block out light and noise. The room was dark and quiet at night and we had a very restful sleep! The room and hotel were very clean.
We enjoyed the spa area. It wasn't a big area, but it has a jacuzzi, steam room and sauna, which are the 3 amenities we look for in a ski hotel.
We found it very easy to stay here and ski in the Portes du Soleil area. Taking the Pleney lift (5-minutes walking from the hotel) connects easily to all the skiing in Morzine and Les Gets. Taking the bus to Avoriaz (comes every 15 minutes and it's about 20 minutes to the Prodains Telecabine), allows you to reach Avoriaz and ski over to Chatel and onwards to Switzerland. The hotel arranged for our ski passes to be waiting for us at check-in, and provided great recommendations for ski equipment rentals and transportation from GVA airport.
We would be delighted to return!

Five star luxury in the heart of Morzine

Our stay at Hotel Le Samoyède was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, the warmth and friendliness of the staff made us feel completely at home. Every member of the team was attentive, professional, and so kind.
Dinner each evening was a true highlight. The restaurant is outstanding, with beautifully prepared French cuisine that was refined and comforting after a day on the slopes. We enjoyed some incredible French wines and discovered a lot about local wines from Savoie. It felt like dining in one of the best restaurants in Morzine without ever having to leave the hotel.
The hotel itself is charming, elegant, and perfectly located; so close to both Pleney and Super Morzine chairlifts. Our room was comfortable with a charming balcony with views of the central square and Pleney. The spa was a wonderful escape to relax in after skiing and the atmosphere throughout the hotel was relaxed yet quietly luxurious.
And of course, a very special mention must go to Grisou, the adorable hotel cat, who added so much character and charm to our stay. Being greeted by him each day was an unexpected joy.
Hotel Le Samoyède is a truly special place. The combination of exceptional service, wonderful food, and heartfelt hospitality makes it somewhere we will absolutely return to. Five stars without hesitation.

Great hotel in Morzine

As others have said, this is an exceptional hotel. First the staff are warm, welcoming and friendly. The room was immaculate and well thought out. The location can’t be beat for hanging out, or skiing, since it is close to both gondolas and a free bus to anywhere you need to go. Finally the dinner. It’s an experience not to be missed.

An unmissable address in Morzine with a very talented chef

We highly recommend this establishment, both for the quality and benevolence of its entire team, and for the excellence of its table that would deserve a Michelin star! Bravo and thank you for welcoming, at dinner, a few privileged non 1/2 boarders (subject to availability and reservation ) to appreciate the talented cuisine of the boss! The restaurant room is beautiful.

Lovely Hotel and Great Location

Had a wonderful 4 night stay for a long weekend skiing in Morzine. The hotel is perfectly placed for the slopes, shops and nightlife with everything in very easy reach. One thing to be mindful of if you are travelling by car is that main centre is occasionally closed to vehicles, which we found out after our transfer had to drop us a couple of hundred metres down the road - luckily we only had a wheeled case, but with lots of luggage it might be an issue and something to check! We had a half board stay and the buffet breakfast was very good with lots of choice for the healthy (and unhealthy) appetites!
Dinner was excellent, with a set menu each night, but ingredients of really good quality and presentation and service were of a high standard.
The SPA is quite small, as you'd expect given the size of hotel, but perfectly adequate for a short visit and can pre book your slots at reception (this keeps numbers to a maximum of 6 people i believe, which is obviously a good thing!)
All in all a really lovely hotel and definitely hope to return in future!
