A Great Stay

Spent 3 nights here. Really nice hotel with comfortable well appointed rooms, great staff and nice food. We were here during the June heat wave and the AC in the room was excellent.
Had dinner one night at the Celest restaurant and that was a wonderful meal. Really well executed menu and the staff and kitchen kept it on a nicely timed rhythm. Not rushed and not too long. Some folks confuse this with the Crayon Bar so reviews do vary, which is a bummer because the dinner is excellent.
Breakfast is very good and there was plenty to choose from, along with 2 coffee/espresso specialty machines.
The views from the rooms and restaurants are quite amazing. The hotel & lobby starts on the 32nd floor and runs to the top of the building. It’s an open concept inside. The tram line is right outside the building. There is also a Westfield mall right next door and the Part Dieu train station is an 8 minute walk right down the street the hotel is on.
If you head in the other direction, it’s a 15 minute walk to the Rhône river.
Parc de la Tete d’ Or with the zoo is also walkable. Maybe 25 minute walk. There is a beautiful lake there as well.

Nobody really cares

This Radisson hotel is good as long as everything goes smoothly. The view is fantastic, and the rooms are clean and adequate. The rather expensive breakfast is also fine. However, we probably would not have booked it if we had not been travelling with a person with limited mobility. In the shopping centre next door, there is a Starbucks as well as several other cafés where you can have a good breakfast for considerably less money.
Unfortunately, our experience took a very disappointing turn when we accidentally left some important belongings behind when checking out. This was, of course, entirely our fault. However, the hotel's accessibility by both phone and email was absolutely unacceptable.
Whenever we called the hotel, we were simply transferred to the Radisson central service line. None of our emails were answered. What we had left behind were medications, which were extremely important to us. This made it even more frustrating that we were unable to reach anyone at the hotel directly for hours.
Eventually, we were connected to someone who told us that he did not have access to the housekeeping area, but promised to get back to us the following day. Naturally, that never happened. We then found ourselves back in the phone queue, being transferred to the central service line again. There, we first had to deal with an AI voice and then with a friendly but completely uninformed employee who was unable to help us.
In total, we made approximately 30 phone calls. In the end, we were told that our lost belongings apparently could not be found. This seems highly unlikely, as they were contained in a large and very noticeable box. We are therefore left wondering whether the box may simply have been discarded by housekeeping.
To be clear, leaving something as important as medication in the room was our mistake, and we take full responsibility for that. What was extremely disappointing, however, was the hotel's response: the lack of accessibility, the complete lack of follow-up, the apparent lack of engagement and the overall impression of indifference.
For a hotel in this price range, we would have expected considerably more support, communication and goodwill. The initial impression of the hotel was positive, but the way this situation was handled left a very bitter aftertaste.

Double Room with 35 Floor View July 2026

We had booked superior room and also got confirmation on this from the hotel per mail. Still they said there were errors in the booking technique and we went a worse but ok room. They refunded us the morning food. The room was clean and with good views but no closet space.
The staff is lovely and the views are unique in the breakfast restaurant. Breakfast is average. Nothing special.

Air conditioning broken!!!!

Avoid at all costs!!! In the middle of a heatwave, the air conditioning barely works.... For a room at $170. We were not warned that there was an AC problem! It’s a disgrace! I called the front desk to report it, but no one answered.

Very good location
