Great location!

Great location-Walking distance to public parking structure. Walking distance to Grotto. Comfortable bed, good breakfast. Terribly thin and small towels

When we arrived at our room the airco was not working. We needed to explicitly ask the reception to turn on the airconditioning in our room although it was 30 degrees outside. Then the receptionist asked ‘do you need air conditioning?’ In any case the air conditioning was very weak in the room, hardly sufficient.
When we arrived one of the duvet covers were dirty, we needed to ask it to be replaced.
Breakfast was ok, no vegetables served, bread and baguette is the frozen/baked type although we are in France where they can make excellent bread and baguettes. Very few vegetarian options. It is unclear in the breakfast room which part is for the pilgrim groups and which one is for the individual guests. They seem to have different food served for groups vs. individual guests. On the first day we ended up eating in the section for groups, with limited choices and bad coffee. This hotel is catering for big groups of pilgrims so it seems they have constant flow of guests and the quality is just average or below.

Could be so much better …

Great location for the Grotto . Spacious room and friendly staff, especially restaurant staff. However, disappointed with standard of the food . Would expect better for a 4-star hotel. Penny-pinching attitude generally ; especially tea-bag/ milk replacements in room . Won’t be staying here in future pilgrimages .

Room too hot

Decent welcome, the air conditioning in room 807 was not working.
The front desk did not answer my call around 9 p.m. via the phone.
It was too hot in the room and the noise was coming from the poorly adjusted ventilation system.
