Again get the door code, most times the owner is there

I just returned from a week at the Hotel Charles, a new owner who put big bucks into the room. Great breakfast for 8 Euros. With 1,700,000 miles on Delta this is a safe hotel and area, like most areas you need a car and not only restaurants, supermarket but McDonalds close

VERY GOOD

We had booked for one night because we had a wedding 5 km away.
When you arrive if there is no one you have the number of the manager who gives you a code and you find your key hanging on the board.
Our room (for 3 adults) one double bed and one small is spacious, comfortable and convenient. The bedding is good, there is air conditioning (super useful for August 16 this year). the pdj is very smug and good and the staff is very friendly.
Another advantage is a small parking lot. Very sincerely this hotel has two stars and it is deserved. I recommend it of course!!!

Terrible experience all around, we arrived late due to the airlines. No one was there, rang the bell several times. No one came, called the number, a guy answered, he said two minutes, waited ten minutes, no one came, called again, this time a woman answered, she said two minutes, waited another ten minutes, still nothing, called again, this time she gave us a code to get in the door and directed us to keys hanging on the wall via phone. VERY poor service

Outstanding French hotel

I just attended the 80th Anniversary of the Landing in Southern France and a French friend booked this hotel for me. First the bad, it's CASH only and not one ATM in the area took my Bank of America ATM card, every store took my credit card. You will be in a French hotel, the beds are great, a new tiled bathroom with a very large shower. Before you get there, you need to get the door code because the desks is only open early and after 6 PM. Your room key will be on the key rack giving you the room number. As you come out of the hotel, a few nice restaurants are at the end of the (turn left) road in the square. Turn right to the end (N-7) 1 mile a nice wine plant and store, food store across the street, it closes at 6 PM. Burger King a few miles east on the N-7. It will take you about 40 Mins to get to the beaches and a nice ride. Staying here will save you big $$$$ because you are paying local French room rates, go south and you at paying big bucks. The owner is a nice guy but limited American, everyone I meet likes American and will be helpful. I will be back at the Charles again. Also, the train station is across the street if you want to go into NICE and the train meets the airport tram, but you need a car here.

Kindness and courtesy. Come as you are (except the perpetual moans)

If you are looking for a quiet place and a welcome in a traditional hotel, you will leave only with the regret of not staying a little more.
But if you want to constantly criticize in the way of reality shows, you can always find faults... (note for the one who could not get hot water: he can come back, everything is fine!)
Thanks to the boss and the girls, kind and reserved.
