Real Honfleur

As some already noted, Au Grey is not a hotel. But staying on front of it, one barely can imagine, what a gem is hidden inside of this old house. It has only two guest rooms, which are stylishly decorated. Yes, as old house it has certain features, like narrow stairs or low ceiling in bathroom, but it gives to this place an absolutely unique atmosphere, which you cannot find in any hotel. We really felt ourselves as guests in Josette’s home, rather than as unknown tourists in hotel. We saw Honfleur from windows of old Honfleur’s house and I can assure you – this is unforgettable.

Horrible cottage,

Arrived , greeted by the owner, in a gloomy hall. Horrible room on the first floor by a more than narrow staircase where suitcases hang the walls, we are asked not to jump in the shower for fear that the floor will collapse.
NO breakfast, we are told to go to the restaurant to pick it up, while it was noted.
No photo is contractual as in the photos...
The owner lives downstairs and the room can't lock and I'm going... HORRIBLE

Quick trip to Honfleur!!

What a wonderful weekend- thank you Josette, we shall be back ❤️ The breakfast was very nice and gave us a good chance to properly meet the owner Josette who is s lovely intelligent and stylish French lady.

Quirky and fun

What a beautiful surprise! Be prepared for both Josette your charming knowledgeable host ( worth following her restaurant tips) and for the idiosyncratic nature of this hidden gem... Off the main drag and away from the main tourist routes so generally quiet although if windows left open on warm night then expect some night sounds .. We had the loft room up some tight stairs but what a find ... Some lovely design touches and in keeping with the whole place it is packed with individual art pieces.
Please don't expect a branded hotel and all their standardisation... This is what you come to Honfleur for! Parking free of charge but hundred meters up hill from property. Not a problem .
Would def go back ...

Genuine French Honfleur Experience

Josette's authentic house in Old quaint fishing village is a lovely and memorable experience and a highlight of our monthlong holiday in greater France. Room was comfortable and authentically decorated . Great personal Continental breakfast with home made items by the lovely Joesette and interesting tête-à-tête and a glass of wine before going to dinner by the harbour.
500 year old house with authentic low ceilings and tight steep stairs. A real gem.
