A hotel restaurant where serenity and flavors combine.
Our elders, Luc and Brigitte, had an appointment with their family, Sandrine, Monique, Christian and grandchild, Quentin, in La Bréole, in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence, on the edge of Lake Serre-Ponçon, at an altitude of 998 m. The closest hotel to this location was the one in Espinasses, the Hôtel de la Poste, at 1509, avenue de Serre-Ponçon, in Hautes-Alpes, at an altitude of 652 m, and 7.7 km away for an 8-minute trip. A family-run ** hotel, a warm 20th-century inn, with the Qualité Tourisme label, on two levels, with reception, 12 comfortable rooms, quiet on the garden side, non-smoking, equipped with smoke detectors, in double, triple, quadruple, from 15 to 23 m2, located in the heart of the village, near shops, pharmacy, newsstand, supermarket, bakery, tourist office, in a sunny valley, with a view of the Hautes-Alpes mountains, 4 minutes' walk from the banks of the Durance and 5 km from the Muséoscope at the lake dam viewpoint. The rooms are simply equipped, for comfort and relaxation, in peace and quiet, with a view of the garden, with LCD flat-screen television, workspace with desk, courtesy service with kettle, telephone, en-suite bathroom, shower products, separate toilet, closet. Its restaurant, with warm and cozy colors, serves traditional cuisine, with local and regional specialties, including tourtons and ravioli from Champsaur, a garden-side terrace facing Mont Colombis, a very friendly bar with its old foosball table or tataouin, private, free car parking, free high-speed Wi-Fi access throughout, luggage storage, a library relaxation area, pets are accepted. The classic breakfast is served in the restaurant dining room. A self-service coded entrance by the parking lot, to move around freely or when the hotel is closed on Sunday. We stayed there for 6 nights, in superior room no. 12, from Monday, June 29 to Sunday, July 6 in the morning. A first payment of €526.00, for 4 rooms x 70.00 = 280.00, 2 rooms x 73.00 = 146.00 + 8 breakfasts x 11.00 = 88.00 + Tourist tax 12 x 1.00 = €12.00. The bedding is comfortable for an authentic moment. As Lina Rose says so well in her welcome guide, -we are delighted to welcome you to our corner of paradise and hope that you will have a stay filled with sparkles in your eyes-. A second payment of €172.00, with the 2 breakfasts from Saturday canceled due to a wedding and ultimately taken care of by the son-in-law and the small restaurant charges, in the evening. A takeover of a year and a half with major concerns regarding the refreshing of the whole place, in terms of paint and layout. A takeover of a year and a half by a young, dynamic married couple in their fifties, as SARL JEYNA, created on June 28, 2025, by Caroline SORRIAUX, née VISSE, and Eric SORRIAUX. In the restaurant, the apprentice server, Ryan, is learning from the best. In old photos, one discovers that this establishment was formerly affiliated with Logis de France.

Hôtel de la Poste ESPINASSES experience
We spent one night in this hotel in the middle of the week of August 15th.
€77 per night for a “superior” room seemed very, very expensive to us compared to the quality of the room. Uncomfortable bed and tiny room.
Breakfast 15€, overpriced given its quantity and quality. We would have been better off at the campsite next door… we do not recommend it.

Really disappointing, already closed on Sunday so no breakfast.
A toilet that takes 23 minutes to fill!! with the accompanying noise. Why are there bellhops at the doors of the rooms??? A huge noise with every movement in the room. And the dinner really needs to be reconsidered, a daily salad at €17 with two leaves of lettuce, three slices of tomato, a small serving of burrata, and unfortunately two slices of smoked ham. We will not return, even though we had our little habits parking behind the hotel to park the motorcycles, which was very convenient.

...in Italy, it would not exist!!!
...steps...stumbles...almost non-existent lights...corridors that seem to be in a movie (shinning), abandoned boxes...rooms: neglected...bedcover torn on the edge...if I opened the window, from the external staircase, you could enter the room! dinner: we arrived at 7.30 pm, by 8.30 pm we had to be at the table!...4 people...the girl took our "wishes" by "memory"...we ordered 2 cheese boards...the one of cold cuts arrived...not too good, tartare di fassona, hamburger with chips and salad (moreover already seasoned.....I NEVER season it)...ribbed with chips and salad (who had to eat it, hates vinegar!!)...and mussels (impepata in Italy) with chips....all together, at the same time!!!...between glasses, bottles, bread, you did not know where to lean! Drink... solicited..., a container for the shells of the mussels... solicited..., slow service, disorganized... even if there was not too much turnout... (4 tables occupied).
Dirty... webs with built-in spider, disorganized... I would say dismal!
Motorcycle parking...yes, in the courtyard...always open...
