A little gem with stunning views

We had a wonderful two-night stay at Les Roches. The view from our room was beautiful, with the stunning Millau Viaduct directly ahead and the river flowing by. We were given a very warm welcome, the room was spotlessly clean, with one of the most comfortable beds I’ve ever slept in, and a delicious breakfast was delivered every morning. The village of Peyre has to be one of the prettiest in France and the nearby town of Millau is delightful, with excellent shopping opportunities and a good choice of places to eat. Les Roches is a perfect place to stay when travelling across France or for a romantic break. Highly recommended!!

View of Millau Bridge

We spent two nights at this hotel to be able to wake up to the fantastic view of Millau Bridge and have a break from travelling in France. The village has significant historical value and really enjoyable to walk around, it is on the ‘Beautiful Villages of France’ list, and once you are visited, you can see why. The village has free parking near the church, if you do not have your own car, you will need to arrange transport to and from the village (we did walk 8 km to Millau along the river and rail tracks for lunch). There are few options for a meal in the village so we bought a few things from the supermarket in Millau to have for dinner. Micheal makes a good breakfast in the morning. In the end we had a relaxing time and recharged the batteries for the remainder of our trip. Michael was a welcoming host .
