Fantastic experience due to fantastic hosts

We stayed in the Utopia suite which is stunning .
On arrival our host kindly booked a restaurant for the evening and gave us some advice how to spend the next couple of days .
Breakfast was catered by Mark who appears to work on rollerskates enthusiastically greeting guests whilst seamlessly providing pastries restocking the sundries cheese , meats , eggs and bread .

A Chinon gem

Two unforgettable nights as a couple (in the magnificent "Origine" room) at this charming hotel located south of the city as its name suggests.
A jewel in this historic city that lacks neither charm nor interest.
The welcome is warm, the team is attentive, the breakfasts are delicious, the atmosphere is relaxed, the decor is refined, all in a peaceful, extraordinary, flowery, and uncluttered place, and everything is perfectly consistent with the website.
You feel good there, at home, and aware of enjoying a rare place that would deserve a higher rating.

Absolutely perfect little hotel. Beautifully decorated throughout. The hotel owner was really welcoming and accommodating. He made us feel most welcome
Fantastic morning breakfast. Chinon is a lovely little town with a number of restaurants and a lake side bar. Great little over night pit stop for us to help us on our way to the south of France.

Great room & bicycle storage.

Excellent location just outside the old town. Large comfortable room with air con and a large shower. Secure storage for our bicycles with charging ports. Host was very tentative and gave us recommendations for restaurants. The breakfast was perfect for the next leg of our cycle. Highly recommend staying here. Would stay again.

Super cute but some details missed

We stayed for a few nights in one of the Privilege rooms. Hotel is a quick pleasant walk across the river bridge to the main part of town. At least one of the owners is a native English speaker, so no issues with communication. Very friendly and they have a room you can keep bags in during the day if needed.
Pros:
Very cute decorating and a big room. Nice minisplit and nice courtyard between the room and front hotel area.
Cons:
No bathroom fan, nowhere to put soap in shower (there are dispensers on the wall though), drape was not wide enough to fully cover the window opening.
We paid for the reserved parking but thought it was kind of a ripoff as it's quite a walk south down the street. There's free street parking about the same distance away that never looked completely full so in the future I'd probably try that instead of prepaying for their parking lot. Maybe if there's an event in town it'd be worth paying for their parking.
