The ski equipment room is spacious and very convenient. The staff all around were great, always greeting us warmly.
We all enjoyed using the wet sauna, dry sauna, pool and hot tub.
Acess to the mountains: La Macchi provides a lift service: walking distance to the gondola lift (Super Chatel); or there is the bus that can take you to La linga and or to Pierre Longue ( and from there you can make your way to Avoriaz)
There is a great supermarket, Sherpa, just across the street. It was perfect. Very nicely stocked. Awesome store.
Easy walk to restaurants in the area.
Overall great experience.
Very appreciative of the staff who tidied our room daily. They did an exceptional job.
* A little quibble or feedback: I wish the hot tub was hotter.
We enjoyed the massage chair. I wished there was a second chair and i was a tad disappointed that the leg feature of the massage was not working.

Perfect place to stay!
The wellness was also fine, with spacious pool, sauna, hammam, jacuzzu and fitness. Only downside here is that there are only 4 sun loungers by the pool.
The hotel offers a free shuttle service to the various ski lifts, but the free public ski bus is also nearby (descend a few steps and you are already at the stop).
We will definitely be back!

The question is what do you expect for £320.00 per night?
After three days travelling we were happy to be back at this four star family run hotel. What ensued was a catalogue of disasters . From 8pm to beyond 10.30 we were consciously aware of scrapping of furniture on the floor of the room above us.
The has a policy for all customers to seeof CALM AND TRANQUILITY RESPECT FOR ALL CLIENTS. No noise after 10am. Kevin, whom
I assume was the night manager but because he had no badge to tell me exactly what his job description was in this hotel, I naturally assumed he was the night manager. He did his best IMMEDIATELY. Kevin wasmost apologetic. By 10.15pm the noise carried on. Kevin once more told the noisy people had to stop and he apologised profusely
I cannot say a bad work about Kevin. He did his very best to put things right for us and the very next day we were moved to the newly renovated room 35 on the third floor
All was good. No more noise. Little did we know!
All very nice superficially.
Here starts the problems.
It was cold
The windows had workmen’s handprints on them but most disturbing and the point I am making is the way I was spoken to when I pointed out FoUR TIMES that the bath tap DID NOT and STILl DoES NOT WORK. I showed Matilde a video of the problem, I spoke to a young girl who quite frankly was nothing short of verbally aggressive - obviously missed the customer service training day!
Yesterday, two days and six hours after reporting the problem someone appeared and said ‘oh you just bash it’!
The moral of this tale is that the tap had not been checked after installing and visibly not wired properly and the staff were inadequately trained how to deal with the problem.
The heating was also faulty.
So the answer to my question is. Since the parents left the hotel the young staff have no customer service training. No management leadership. Is it worth £350.00 a night? Definitely not. Will I recommend or visit again? Definitely not.
And what’s more on reading my customer feedback Hôtel Macchi, please do not insult me by telling me you can’t please everyone. As a hotel owner the point is to give the VERY BEST experience for ALL YOUR GUESTS
