Professionally run, warm and friendly, the perfect base camp.

Our family of 4 (mom, dad and 2 teenage sons) stayed here in July to watch the Tour de France on Col du Tourmalet. Coming from the US, these few days were a highlight of our trip and a true "Backdoor Experience" for us. The house is spotless, perfectly appointed with original antiques yet also with up to date bathrooms/showers. My son commented, "I'm sleeping on a bed that's older than my country!" Chris prepared a sumptuous and authentic feast each night, and we shared the meal with people from all over the world. The WiFi was good enough to keep teenagers happy, beds comfy, and the house situated so that we could choose to socialize or have privacy. To reserve, you must use the contact page on her website. Her response is quick and timely. Highly recommend!

At the limit

House overlooking the side of the relatively busy road, night dotted, because each time a vehicle passed we were awakened. Overall average night for lots of unpleasant little things like the clutter of the stairs making it difficult to carry luggage up, very average breakfast. In short, I wouldn't go back there.

Great visit great host fab food!dog friendly

From day one it felt like home from home.Chris couldn't do enough for us even putting covers on the settee for our dogs to relax.room was clean and comfortable food was beyond expectations.Location perfect for good walks and sight seeing.

Maison Lacoste

My husband and I spent 2 nights in this lovely chambre d'hote in July. The house was extremely comfortable, the decor most attractive and food was delicious. Location was fantastic with magnificent scenery within easy reach. Highly recommended!

Great place to stay in the pyrenees

We (2 parents, 2 adolescents) stayed for three nights in this nice chambres d´hotes in Campan. It is a wonderful base for discovering the pyrenees and we had a great time. A couple of years ago the owner has taken over this place from a French family and did a great Job refurbishing and modernizing it. Good breakfast and an excellent dinner (the owner was in the hotel and catering business before she went to France and that really makes a difference) made our stay very enjoyable (in spite of the cloudy and rainy weather). The owner knows the region very well and helped us plan our day trips. We could borrow her hiking maps - which was extremely helpful. In the evenings we used the nice living room of the maison and our sons enjoyed her collection of great DVDs. Overall it was a very (!) nice stay and if you decide to go there make sure you also book the table d´hotes!!
