Recommended

Hotel a few steps from the historic center. Friendly staff, very clean and welcoming environment.
The bathroom has been recently renovated, the shower is large and comfortable.
The bed is French, with a good mattress that guarantees comfort.
The only flaw, the room is small, the spaces are a little tight.
Breakfast is plentiful and good.

UNACCEPTABLE

I had booked a room for 2 adults and 2 children for the night of February 7th at the Edelweiss Briancon hotel, via Booking.com.
We arrived at the hotel at 8:15 p.m. and found that the doors were closed. We called several times without getting an answer, and left two messages on the answering machine, without any feedback from them. After checking my emails and text messages, we did not receive any message telling us the access codes.
We had an email from the Edelweiss Briancon the next day explaining that we were at fault and that we would not have any refund of the room.
This situation is totally UNACCEPTABLE. Travelling regularly around the world, this is the first time I have encountered such a problem.
I therefore request an immediate and full refund of the room booked via Booking.com.

Comfortable with free parking

Comfortable hotel, renovated and clean, with free private parking.
A few steps from the old city walls and the modern pedestrian center.
Too bad only the lack of electrical outlets near the bed. But the receptionist was very helpful in providing us with an extension and an adapter.

The room is really very small, barely room to open a suitcase. The bathroom is even more so. You have to be a contortionist.
-open the door
- shift next to the toilet
-close the door
- access the shower behind the door.
But for one night it's going very well. The hotel is a 10-minute walk from the tourist/historic centre of Briancon.
Breakfast quite correct.
BUT
Upon entering the room we broke our nose on a carton of pizza with leftovers inside, accompanied by a leftover sauce, probably spicy oil.
Admittedly everything was under the bed (right at the edge) and does not give a very good impression of the cleaning that was done.

No trader no hot water

We arrived at 11pm at the hotel impossible to shower because we had no hot water we told ourselves we would wait until the next day except that in the morning it was the same... no hot water. The receptionist told me that the water heater was down but did not give us any discount. A little light though because going to the hotel and not being able to take a single shower edt a little borderline
