Great experience staying at Le Travertine!
Our group of 7 had a wonderful stay at Thomas and Julie's apartments. We occupied all 3 apartments and were comfortable and well taken care of. Julie met us when we arrived, helped with luggage, explained the door locks, and provided excellent restaurant recommendations. She also met us at check out. Thomas and Julie have beautifully renovated the interior spaces. While the ground floor unit is easily accessible, the upstairs units require negotiating some steps. They were no issue with hand luggage and backpacks, but might require a couple of separate trips with heavier bags. The apartments were super-clean and well stocked with all the essentials. Coffee maker and tea kettle were provided, along with fridge and stove to use. The bathrooms were also clean and the towel warmer was especially appreciated. Thomas and Julie are wonderful hosts and great communicators. The location in the town center was perfect. Close to attractions, the train station, and Viking boat dock.

A very different experience
Le Travertin is truly a boutique hotel. Thomas has put an enormous effort into converting and renovating the place and it is truly unique. Not your usual hotel, with the bedroom and the living/cooking on different floors and with a 50 step spiral staircase to get to the bedroom, but it more than makes up in charm. Of course the critical factor is mine host. Thomas exceeded all expectations. The place is beautifully located with more cafes and bars that even I could visit, . Its close to the Popes palace, I could go on! its definitely worth a visit if you are in Avignon, in the future, be amazed!

A Small, Efficient Perfect Space in the Old City
For a couple (an no more!), this apartment offers a perfect base to explore Avignon. Read on for details.
Returning to Avignon for the 3rd time in 1.5y, I selected Le Travertin because of its location and inclusion of parking and air conditioning. This turned out to be slightly problematic but did not diminish the fact that the space itself perfectly. Located on a narrow and quite alley, a tight spiral staircase takes you to the small studio. The sofa folded out to a bed that was surprisingly comfortable. The kitchen and bathroom, recent upgrades were thoughtful and effective.
The apartment is a short walk to the old Papal palace, prominent churches, city wall and innumerable places to shop and eat.
Be aware that the nearest parking is a paid city lot. The free parking is a 20 minute walk or free city shuttle away.
Parking issue aside, we would return here in a heartbeat.

Un véritable cocon
Le studio est entièrement refait à neuf, dans un style très charmant. Idéalement placé dans Avignon, dans une ruelle au calme mais à 2 minutes à pied du centre touristique.
Nous n'avons manqué d'aucune fournitures, et l'accueil de Thomas était parfait. Un local sécurisé est disponible pour les voyageurs en vélo.

Muito, muito boa a estada
Thomas é excelente anfitrião. Mesmo antes da viagem, entrou em contato. Indicou como acessar o estúdio. Apartamento com varias facilidades: tem frigobar, talheres, cabides, microondas. Muito tranquilo o local. Próximo dos locais de interesse. Voltaria a ficar ali.
